I've been looking for a call recorder app (that works!) for my DROID since last December ... still haven't found one.

Total Recall Call Recorder works on EVO for 2 way calling. I'm not sure what other devices it works on.

On my Eris I can just use the built in voice recorder, but it has to be started before the phone call. So it really only works on outbound calls, not inbound.

If you have Google Voice, you can press the #4 during a call and it will record and transcribe it for you, but you get a loud voice telling you " Voice Recording On " or something like that. Obvious, but it is the legal way.

In the UK you are allowed to make recordings of your private conversations provided that the recording is for your own use. No need to notify anyone.

In some states you can in the US also. Texas, for example, you can record as long as 1 person in the conversation knows it is being recorded. In Washington, everyone must know that they are being recorded.
