Default How to backup apps for a replacement phone?

Bugger. Dropped my phone and cracked the screen. Got a replacement organised through insurance, but now I am wondering how I get all the apps I have currently (some are paid apps) onto the replacement handset?
Phone is an HTC Desire.

Hope you guys can guide me!

Google keeps track of all the apps you've downloaded. Sign in to your Google account on the new phone and you should be good to go.

You can use an app like MyBackup for backing up apps to your external SD card. Better yet, if you're rooted get Titanium Backup, the premier backup app for Android.

MyBackup - Android app on AppBrain

Titanium Backup ? root - Android app on AppBrain

If you're rooted, Titanium Backup is the way to go. If you are not rooted, you cant backup the actual app settings, but google will remember what apps you downloaded an dbought. Or you could use AppBrain to do that as well.
