Default Astro File Manager Issue

I've recently installed Astro file manager on my desire, and I'm having some issues. After I open Astro and close it, I go out into the photo viewer and it says no photos or videos found. If I go back into Astro, I can find all of my files in their proper folder, but I still can't see them through the photo viewer. I can then take a photo, or download one, and I'll be able to view it in the photo viewer. as soon as I open Astro again, i"ll no longer be able to see it in the viewer again. The same thing has happened with a notification sound that was on the SD card as well..

Whats up with that?

Maybe a solution: Use SDrecan for viewer indexing the photo in its folders.

A other solution: Use EStrongs File Explorer as file manager

I just installer andexplorer, and removed astro. So far its wprking much better, and doesn't hide my files on me. However, i still can't find a video astro hid on me...

But, and explorer does all the same things, pays things out in a more organized way, and doesn't hide files from me, so i'm happy.

Ps, anyone know the default folder videos are saved to?

I liked Astro enough to pay for it, but I can't use it to delete ebooks from my card, or Aldiko will freak out afterwards and think something is wrong with my card until I reboot. If I delete with ES File Explorer I don't have that problem. (Of course it can also be done within Aldiko, but sometimes a file manager is more convenient.)

If Astro didn't have that nice install-from-card capability, I probably would delete it - as was already mentioned, having two file managers seems silly.
