I noticed the FBook app has an Upload Photo option when you press MENU, but every time I try it says, "Photo upload not authorized. Please authorize the 'fBook' application on this Facebook page (with the word "page" hyperlinked) and then retry the photo upload.

OK, no problem. So I click the link and it takes me to the Facebook login page where my email and/or password doesn't work. When I try to do it from my desktop computer and click on settings, then Activate Facebook Mobile, TMobile isn't listed as a carrier. So what do I do? Is it possible to upload photos from within fBook?

Same problem here. I tried the mobile@facebook email option, and get the error about the carrier. I've also gone through the authorization on facebook.com site at my computer and it actually worked once. Now it's back to throwing errors saying the carrier is not authorized or there was a problem with my upload.

OK, after tinkering around with it some more I finally got it to work. I'm not sure exactly how I did it, but I may have been typing in the password wrong. It's hard to tell since Facebook comes up fine when I restart the app. I also clicked the link on the page above where it asks for your password. It was something about The Android app for the Second Generation or something like it. Anyway, I typed in my password again after that and it took me to a page where I could choose to allow mobile uploads. It never asked for a phone number or carrier so if you're trying to do that it's not needed. I wish I could be more detailed than this but hopefully this helps others sort it out themselves.

OK, now I have a similar but different problem:

I was able to get the upload picture option working for one night only, and I was able to successfully upload 5 pictures to my account. Now when I try it I select the picture and the UPLOADING PICTURE graphic comes up with the spinning circle for about 10 seconds and I get a message saying PROBLEM UPLOADING PICTURE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN.

Now the strange thing is, if you're familiar with Facebook you know there is an Application toolbar at the bottom of the screen that stays there no matter how you scroll the page. The day I was able to upload pics the app bar was on my phone and that's the only time I've seen it. I'm guessing that is why it let me upload pics, but I have no idea how to get it back. Any help? And is anyone else able to upload pics and/or see the app bar?

Just a quick update, I have been in email contact with the fBook developers, and they just updated the photo uploading part of the app. I just uploaded a picture I have been trying to put on Facebook for the past week. It worked flawlessly!

i installed the statusinator application and it'll make a new album on facebook. it's quite handy i think.

I'm having the exact same issue. I was able to upload one photo, the day I installed the app (yesterday) and now I can't upload any more. Some photos fail instantly. Others take about 10 seconds to fail as you said.

I have no idea how to get it to work again.

It has worked for me every time since they fixed it. I emailed them with my problems and they got back very quickly, although I'm sure their fix wasn't for my specific phone. I would think since it works for me now it should work for you. Any more details would help.

Did they fix the app in the Market by uploading a new version or did they tell you how to fix the problem on your phone? I only recently installed the app, and you said it was fixed on the 8th. So you would think I had installed a fixed version, but no. I tried clearing the cache and such in the built in browser and in fbook, but it was no help. At one point I managed to fix it somehow and I uploaded one photo, and the next day got the same error again. When I "fixed" it I had to reauthorize the app, so I probably just cleared my cookies or something. I don't think I tried that recently; just the cache.

no, they told me they updated the upload photo part of the app and it has worked ever since. I did have to reauthorize a few more times but the photos always uploaded instead of timing out like before. You do have to tell Facebook to allow offline access for the app, but it should work.

Statusinator works great! So long, fBook. The iPhone facebook site isn't even good. It has less features than the mobile version. It's too bad the facebook people think Android is a joke. I've read that they have no intention of making a native app.

I would just use the full facebook site, but some of the features don't work with the browser. Trying to use the AJAX-y comment boxes is a losing proposition.

I tried to upload a picture the other day and it wouldn't work again. I contacted one of the developers again and after some troubleshooting they determined it times out if you upload a picture too large. Hopefully they will get back to me soon with a fix.
