I tried the search and put in the keywords and only three apps came out and one was for Bank of America and two other irrelevant apps. Maybe they took it out of the market maybe?

Just go to download.com and pick up the official Chase app developed by JPMorgan Chase

From JPMorgan Chase :

Whether you need a quick text update on your account balance or access to the transaction options on Chase.com -- like paying bills or transferring funds on the go -- Chase Mobile has the option most convenient to you. Using Chase Mobile for Android you can pay bills, transfer money, see account balances, see account transaction history, find the ATMs and branches closest to you, and can retrieve contact and other information easily.

Chase Mobile for Android - Free Mobile software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

For some reason they don't have the app in the app marketplace.

All this is is a web shortcut to the mobile chase site. It is not an official Chase app... its a bookmark with a nice icon.

Has anyone found Mobile Banking to be inacurrate? I think it's a great app. I bank with both BAnk of America and Chase, and love that I can see both accounts. But it always seems to be at least a day behind.

I found Android Banking which seems to do Chase, but it's a paid app. I was hoping to use Mobile Banking...
Anyone using Mobile Banking? Is it just me?

That would be a browser feature. Try different browsers
Dolphin, x scope, etc

Cool thread... I bank with Chase for nearly all my accounts - what makes this app different/superior to simply signing onto Chase.com where all the functionality is once Froyo is updated and you have flash support (or does it still direct you to the mobile site)? Thanks!

Have you been using Mobile Banking for a while? How accurate is it? I liked it because it would show my balances for different banks on the same page.
But I found that it was not accurate. Always a day or 2 behind.

Has it changed? Please let me know if it's improved.

I just go to chase.com on my HTC Touch Pro 2, and the Opera browser automatically directs me to the mobile version. It is very user friendly, and extremely uncluttered, so much so that it seems limited. But you can check credit card balances, checking and savings (if you have them with Chase) all at a glance, and pay your monthly bill as well! I have noticed that Chase is a little behind, but every bank I've ever done business with is, there is always a delay with banks and account funds/payments showing up.

JUst downloaded it and Chase is the first one to come up when I typed chase into the search.
Not sure why it's not coming up for you.

But i really recommend android banking. It's very accurate. It's a paid app, but well worth it.
When I used Mobile banking, it was always a day behind. Seems it did not update bank information right away

Oh i downloaded the free mobile banking. and it doesnt have chase as a provider. I am talking about the app which looks like a house on its icon. I chose that one becuase somewhere in this thread I had read that it worked for Chase but it definitly does not!

this is the one that recommended the app i downloaded but it definitely does not work for chase. i would love to know how 5280droid was able to get the "firethorn" app to manage his chase account ..........

I guess ill give up and wait for chase to make an app specifically for android

From what I hear, from my mom anyway (She's an employee of Chase), she tells me that it should be coming to Android in November or December. But as a previous post says, there's no "Set Date" yet... lame

For a bank as large as Chase to be avoiding an Android app, I believe there has to be some exclusivity deal with Apple. I mean damn near every bank I bank with has an app for both platforms [BOA, USAA, PNC, ING] and I believe Chase created their iphone app before any of these banks even showed up to the party. Hell BOA even has a webOS app(as if). With so many customers clamming for the app, this delay has to be intentional.

I think there probably is some deal with Apple.
But it seems ridiculous to do this, as I doubt anyone is going to change phones for a bank app.

All jokes aside this was actually going to be the reason for me to upgrade my iphone 3g to the iphone4[for the mobile deposit feature]. Luckily I was sensible enough to weigh the pros and cons of signing another 2 years with At&t when the Evo was all the phone I needed. But I really want that app. I have the USAA app but you have to be a veteran, or have a CC with USAA to use their mobile deposit feature. I bet if BOA or ING were to put this feature in their Android apps, chase would have incentive to move their a**es and make something happen then. Its sad that big corporations are only motivated by competition.

This is one of my only grips with Android...the Chase app that I had on the Iphone was one of the few things I enjoyed about the phone.

Exclamation Chase App drops November 19

The Official Chase Mobile Banking Application will be available on the Android Market on November 19th. Just search for Chase and you'll see it.

You'll be able to log in, manage your account, transfer funds, and yes... make quick deposits directly from your phone by simply using your phone's camera.

Default Timeline on chase app.

The most likely reason for the delay on the android app is security. With apple you can only have the apps they approve and host (unless of course its jail broken). Using the Android OS allows you to install apps not on the marketplace. Because of this you can install malicious software on your phone that can diminish the integrity of the security.

If xdiord is correct ill get two things on the 19th I have been waiting a long time for /woot.

I have tried searching for this in the market place with no luck. All barcodes being provided are hitting dead links.

I have successfully used this feature on the chase app. There are a few rules of thumb when attempting to deposit the check this way.
1) The check CAN NOT be larger then $1000 US, (it might be smaller)
2) Your phone has to support the apps ability (something in the hardware)
3) Have some patience, it can take a while to approve the deposit, and finally
4) DO NOT MESS UP THE NUMBERS. They have a clause, that they can disable this on your account, for forgery, ie your number input is larger then the check.

Now, that being said, I have deposited a check of around 300 USD with no issues, and no signature. I spoke with the teller a day later, and you will want to keep the check until the check completely clears the bank, at which time you can discard the check... but I kept my for legal purposes.

How that helps.. cheers
