I switched to HTC EVO from Blackberry Curve2 because mass txting would slow down the blackberry so much and I have to send a mass txt to 300 people everyday for my business. I love the EVO but all three apps which make mass txting possible are not working properly. Also the native txt app limits to 40 people so that is not an option.

ChompSMS - the SEND button gets deactivated when certain contacts are added to the group, also countless error popups about sending large number of txts

Mass Text Personalizer - gives error when sending all messages, something like "cannot send message to xxxxxx"

Handcent - screen goes black when trying to send message to group

Has anyone gotten these apps to work properly for such large groups or can you recommend another app or method?

I had the Blackberry Storm, which althought slow, was great with sending to as many groups and contacts as I wanted. I could often send to close to 500 or more text messages at one time. Now on the EVO, the native app, even with created groups, limits the message to 40 contacts. I find this to be absolutely ridiculous. I am looking for an app as well that does this but have heard similar complaints to what you have mentioned above. Let me know if you hear anything.

Hello there, I have been using Group SMS pro and Mass Text Personalizer, the problem with Group SMS pro is that I still have to pick all my contact one by one and then send out the text to all at once hence why I got the Mass Text Personalizer app which allow me to group my contacts alphabetically and this way I can send mass text to all group or individually group at once but the problem I am having with this one is that it always tell me that a large number of SMS is being sent, click ok to continue or cancel to stop and whenever I click ok, I will get the message that message could not be sent to recipients and none one will get the message. This is the same problem I go through whenever I use the app, sometimes, the app will send out text successfully to group A but after that no email will be sent again to any other groups without getting the same message again and again. Please can anyone recommend a better app or tell what I am doing wrong with the Mass Text personalizer as I wish to continue using it if I can find a solution the problem. I just find your post and I would like to know if you ever find solution to these problem, I have tried several times with no luck to contact Mass Text personalizer people, please can you let me know if you ever fix these problem or if you are using a d/ apps all together ? I am a promoter with about 16000 contacts and I would like to send mass text to all at once or group by group. Thanks very much in advance
