apparently I'm a dummy that can't do things anymore I'm trying to get tethering to work. I've tried three programs so far and there's some issue with each one. can someone please recommend a simple one, or attempt to assist me? please pardon me, I'm just a bit frustrated. I've been up for 2 hours trying on my own before coming here.

1. Wireless Tether. I have root access, but I can NEVER get this to work. I rooted my phone a month or so ago and have been trying to tether ever since. tonite I really REALLY tried, and no resources are clear enough for me to get it going. Uninstalled.

2. pdanet. i turn on usb debugging like it says. i dont know if the problem is on the phone or on the computer. Uninstalled.

3. easytether lite. it tried to install a driver on my pc for over 30 minutes. Enough was enough. Uninstalled.

I know it's not this hard is there something simpler? I thought the wireless tether was the easiest one

I haven't gotten wireless tethering ('Enable Bluetooth DUN') to work with PDAnet either. But wired tethering, with a USB cable, works like a charm! Internet everywhere!

Make sure you are using the correct version of wireless tether. If you check their developer page, you can find older versions. some phones will only work correctly with an older version.

Did you get an error message? All I can say is make sure the version of pdanet on your computer matches the version on your phone.
