I like TuneIn Radio app on my Samsung Galaxy 3. It's a great app. But I have a problem. Every time I play a station for about 10 minutes, it stops playing, and I have to click on pause and play, and it plays for another 10 minutes or so. I am wondering why this happens and is there anything wrong with the settings? I looked at the settings and looks there isn't much I can do there. Any input or suggestions will be appreciated!
been having the same problem of late, be curious if changingthis setting will effect my battery life...
it should not unless you have a tremendous amount of widgets and syncing going on behind the scenes. this "enable always on mobile data" will keep your data connection available for all of your streaming news, updates, stock quotes, emails to hit it. if it is not checked/enabled - the data connection will go to sleep idle after 10 minutes of inactivity. i keep it enabled but the only things i keep syncing are - HTC weather/clock, Gmail, and Google Finance. i went into News, Stocks, FB, Twitter, Sprint Zone, etc. and cleared them and/or set them to MANUAL update so they are not banging my mobile data connection and hence my battery all day behind my back. i don't use that crap anyway. i get great battery life. the only thing i need constant INSTANT PUSH sync is GMAIL.
good luck.

I think what happens is that my device has a 10 min screen timeout, that somehow cut the wifi I use to listen Tune-in radio.
Now my question is how can I turn OFF screen timeout? I can't find it. Thanks.

I am sorry. I meant wifi timeout! How can I turn it off?
I've found the same problems with Tune In Radio (and also the WunderRadio app) dropping streams, particularly using the .wma format, apparently due to the screen timeout coming on. The only way I can find to keep streams playing uninterrupted is to make sure the screen never turns off whilst listening to a stream - the major downside is a major effect on battery life, though this can be offset a little by turning down the screen brightness.
To alter the settings to make sure the screen doesn't turn off:
Settings > Display > Screen timeout > Never turn off
or you can install a power widget, which allows you to do lots of things with the press of a single button from the widget - Widgetsoid is a good one, which includes a setting to enable and disable "never turn off scren" with a single press from the home screen.
I suspect the stream dropping is related to the behaviour of the phone when the lock screen cuts in, rather than a problem with the Tune In Radio or WunderRadio apps themselves.
Does anyone know if there's any way to stream audio reliably without having to resort to keeping the display on all the time? I'm using a HTC Wildfire running Froyo 2.2.
