Hey everyone, this is my first post here but I've been reading these forums for awhile. Anywho, I'd like to alert everyone about this new audio service I've been working on.

Simply put, it's like Twitter for audio, but you can record whatever you want really (rap, scream, cry, record your car engine, etc). It posts to your SpeakBin.com profile within seconds and is immediately available to listen to online. I figure this is a pretty unique service which is why I built it.

So since I'm pretty good with Java, I've got the SpeakBin app done and in the Android marketplace.

You don't even need an account to make a 'speak' (audio recording), I put a 'phony login' system in place so that you can just hit that to login. If you make an account on SpeakBin.com though, you can use that.

So yea, the app is called 'SpeakBin Microphone' and its now available in the Android Market. At the same time, I was wondering what you thought of this idea in general? I'm hoping for a big network here, and yes iPhone and BlackBerry apps will be developed.

I think the app is a good idea.... And original...

Its success is Dependant on the content and the number of people who use it.

Maybe go cross-platform, integrate with Facebook and Twitter, ect.....

And answer peoples questions! ;D

I can't really answer that, have a look at our Terms of Service if you're really interested. I'm no legal expert.

You need to have an easy way to LISTEN to recordings from the apps, not just record and upload them.

Interesting idea! One tip for the website: add the ability to play the recording on the front page without going to the details page (by clicking on link in popular for example).
