Default launcher pro custom desktop icons

I was wondering something. It might be something I'm overloooking, but is there a way to change the icons to custom ones? I know how to change the icons on the dock, I was wondering if there is a way to change icons not on the dock.

I use an app called desktop Visualizer. It lets you add a custom icon on your desktop for many functions and its free.

I use Folder Organizer. Not only can you assign custom icons on your homescreen, it also allows you to create nested folders, etc. And the customized icons are shown in the folders too and in Widget Locker, not just on the homescreen. Better than DV because you don't have to redo the custom icon if you have to update the app.

You can also customize bookmarks as icons with FO.

Basically FO does everything DV does and much more.

Launcher Pro does this as well. Long press on the home screen and select add > shortcuts > applications then select one from the list. Then you can edit the shortcut name and its icon.

ADW Launcher is the better alternative that lets you do all of this.
