Default Missed Call - LED notification for missed calls

I have written a little application that gives LED notification for missed calls. (the default behaviour gives you only LED notifications for SMS,email and voicemail)

Features:
Customizable sound, vibration, led, repeat notifications for missed calls, incoming calls, sms, bluetooth enabled/disabled, bluetooth device connected, airplane mode, battery level low, etc.

Version 0.8.9 includes a Locale plug-in! For all the Droid users make sure that you have got "Missed Call for Android 2.0" installed.

You can try it out if you want.

Thanks for the app. Mine flashes blue (instead of the green flash for other alerts). Was that intentional? I like it since I know immediately that a call was missed.

Thanks for your response. The blue LED was intentional. I just liked the idea to know immediately that I missed a call.

I got the latest version 0.2.1 online right now. It adds the autostart possibility and new icons. Have fun with it.

Update:

0.3.1 is online now. :-)

That is cool seeing the blue led flash, nice app.

How about adding custom flashes? red, green or blue as single colours or red, green, followed by blue. Seeing my phone alternate between the three colours would get my attention and look funky at the same time

Hey since you've already got the base of the program do you think you could add a "beep" (or custom sound notification) for missed calls, emails, calendar events, and texts? That would be a lifesaver. (preferably with the ability to set different tones for different missed features).

If you could do that, your program would be a must have. Does anyone disagree?

The feature I would really like is one that was present on all recent Samsung models

The repeat SMS alert tone, where it would keep informing you of a text alert every 2 mins, really handy when out and about and you maybe missed the tone the first time

Version 0.3.7 is released now. :-) Fixed a lot of bugs. App does NOT work while USB cable is plugged in. (can't change that on the current Android release)

Oh, so you are the one who made this! Very well done, good sir.
I do have one small problem with this app now, although it only came in the update. I rather just keep a light for missed calls, but now this app's light is necessary for text notifications as well, which disables the preset green blinking light for it. Is there anyway to keep the missed call light on but forgo the missed text light? I'm guessing there is a way with the timer that will keep it off and allow the blinking green one to do its thing?
Thanks.

Hello. I will add selectable notifications in my next release. So you will be able to switch SMS notification on and off. At the moment I suggest using the green color for sms and it should be fine.

Just installed the update. I e-mailed you about not being able to clear my notifications but I was wrong. I just uninstalled then reinstalled and it worked fine. Great APP!

Does this happen if you have the Call Logs open? I can't do anthiny about it since it is a Android 1.0 bug.

Regards.

I get the same, no call log open, even got rid of the dialer app to make sure it wasn't that, still doesn't work. I got it to work once by changing the blink interval to 300/300 but it only worked once. Tried playing around with the interval settings, still couldn't get it to work. Took the icon in notifications out and put it back, still no joy. I'm on version 0.4.0

Any ideas?

Thought I might add that I'm using a UK phone on Build TC5-RC8, don't know if that makes any difference?

Also, just to add, I have powered off/on and still doesn't work.

Uninstalled and re-installed anyway and it all now works fine. Great app just slightly annoying that it has to be installed twice to work...

Yeah, my old phone used to periodically make some beeping sound (say every 10mins or something) when i had missed calls or texts or whatever. With my G1 if it's in my pocket it can sometimes take several hours before i check my phone and realise i have missed calls.

Also, is there any way to get this to override the charging LED indicator? Half the time i have my phone on the desk plugged into USB, and it never blinks the light. Kinda sucks.

This is still a really nice app though

I actually really enjoy this app and find it to be very useful. But is it what's causing that extra notification asking me to read my unread SMS? That's rather annoying when I receive a notification of the SMS and another to read it.

This is a GREAT application. Recently (as early as today I believe) my SMS notifications have not been working. I get no notifications since I turned them off in the default SMS application for Android. I have tried disabling and enabling the sound/LED color. I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing. I have rebooted the phone as well. Any ideas on why it might not be working? Calls work fine, the LED color for incoming and missed calls work the way I have it set up.

Version 0.7.9 ist out right now in the market. Just download it from the market.

This version fixes the settings loss (using a Sqlite database right now) and fixes some cupake 1.5 bugs especially with bluetooth.

If you want to support the development just buy the "Missed Call Donation" application. Thank you very much and have fun with the app.

Does this application affect battery life? I only installed it yesterday so haven't had chance to see if it does yet, but just wondered if any other users have noticed battery life falling.

Great application though, its one very much needed, excellent work!!

Version 0.8.0 is available right now. The application shouldn't affect battery life too much. We did everything possible to achieve that.

Default Was "Missed Call" application removed?

Missed call is a GREAT application. I've used it for months and loved it.

I just got a replacement phone today and Missed Call was one of the first apps I tried to install but I can't find it. I typed "missed call" into the search and received 8 options but it's not there. I tried to use "missed reminder" instead but it's horrible. Please tell me where I can download missed call!

Hi android_goes, I actually emailed you about this earlier today, but thought I'd post here too - would you be able to add an option where you get notified when changes are made to your Google Calendar? I need this because my secretary books my appointments for me, and I have to keep checking the schedule to see if anything's been booked/cancelled/changed. This would be a lifesaver for me. Like your app though, thanks!

I want to try this but I wasn't able to find it in the Market and when I tried the download link you posted to Twitter (http://bit.ly/2GYjnp) I got the error "Missed Call could not be installed on this phone." I have a Sprint Hero. How can I get this app?

EDIT: Well 0.8.9 wouldn't install but I found an older version (0.8.8) that did, although it doesn't seem to be working correctly (reminders don't repeat). Why wouldn't I be able to install the newer one? Did you remove the Hero for some reason?

I think I should mention that you'd be the champion of moment users everywhere if you were able to add a feature that flashes our home/menu/back buttons in lieu of an LED (a notification LED is something they left off the moment, unfortunately). I think you'd be completely justified in adding that feature (as long as it works) to the paid version of your app only. You'd make a lot of money off us moment users lol.
