Question What's the best Launcher for android?

Hey,

I'd like to know what is the best/most used/suggested Launcher out there for Android as I'd really like to install a good one, so can you suggest me any?

Before we get yet another list of launcher likes and dislikes, it might pay you to use the "Search this forum" feature to see if this question has already been answered... which it has on numerous occaissions in ongoing threads... i.e.

Launcher recommendations?

ADW vs Helix vs Launcher pro

To name but a few!

Hope this helps.

you know, i've used several, but i prefer Zeam so far. It's kept me from rooting my phone and it feels crazy fast

There is no part of this website that requires you to search before a new topic. Currently I like crazy home lite. It gives you up to 15 screens. It gives you basically 3 different desktops and you can customize them each to your liking.

If you are looking for a launcher that is even more customizable I would suggest sweeter home, it is not available in the market and has a steep learning curve but if you are willing to learn how to use it you can do amazing things.

Launcher pro is also a decent launcher it gives you up to 30 shortcuts in a dock on your home screen (15 icons and 15 swipe up gestures).

Also this link has descriptions of 33 launchers and someone else's opinions on them. Review and Comparison of 33 free Home Replacement Apps for Motorola Droid and other Android 2.X phones

I did not think there was.

I mention it out of courtesy to those who have previously taken the time and trouble to answer the same question already.

I use Go Launcher. It let's you have a ton of home screens. I tried Launcher Pro but I was not fond of it.

There is somethinabout Go Launcher that I really like. I would highly recommend it.

Zeam is lightweight and fast if you don't need a lot of customisations. LauncherPro is well-liked by many because it has many features but it sometimes force closes on my Samsung Galaxy. I tried Go Launcher yesterday and it was good except that the Desktop Visualiser widgets don't show after I reboot my phone. There's no perfect launcher out there but you need to search one that fits your needs and expectations.
