Unhappy Google Listen not updating

Hello all

Using a HTC Hero with 2.1.

Since a couple of days Google Listen has stopped updating my podcasts. Until then I could just hit refresh, the app would go on WiFi, refresh the podcasts and start downloading them.

But without any obvious cause, this has stopped. If I hit the refresh button, I will see very briefly the sync symbol in the top bar, but nothing will happen. If I select each podcast individually, I can refresh them correctly.

Anyone knows why? And what could be done to remedy the situation?

Thanks

Add me to the list.

For the one I noticed didn't update, I went into My Subscriptions for that item in google listen and refreshed there and then it came up.

It just didn't come up when I did it from the My Listen Items section

ah well, a nice little group of frustrated users forming.

Summary of Problems since 1/13 - listen-discuss | Google Groups

I know, I know, it is free and it is from Google Labs so no warranties and all that. But it would still be nice if the problem was at least acknowledged, then you wouldnt spend so mucht time and get so many grey hairs...

Oh bother. Let's hope it's fixed soon.

Add me to the list of people that are having issues with Google Listen. Doesn't seem like Google listens when it comes to problems with their apps.

My solution was to quit being frustrated with it and un-install it. I am now using DoggCatcher and am finding it to be much better than Listen ever was. Little bit of a learning curve but once figured out it is great and well worth the few bucks it costs.

I switched to K-9 mail when they wouldn't fix the Gmail app problems and now I switched my podcast player. Next move may just be a switch to iPhone

+1 on this. I found that FC'ing the app and clearing the data cache temporarily fixes it, but the problem immediately returns after the first sync.

This still works for me. Not ideal if you have a ton of subscriptions, but it's a fine solution for me in the short run.

Is this not working for you all?

Too late. Doggcatcher works ten times better than listen ever did.
