Copy and Paste for ALL?

Ok My new Droid 2 global (i think) something has the option (like in SMS to copy the entire conversation) then no where to paste it, hotmail does not have any option. Is there a third party app that will make something as simple as cut, copy, and paste available on all things we would need it for?

Such a high tech phone, I guess someone just forgot to add this feature!
