Default Address Book for Android

I'm trying to find a good address book that can replace the default address book.
The default address book does not allow me to quickly search for a contact by typing a few letters of their first name, and a few letters of their last name.
The default address book does not have multi-tasking. If I were to open a contact to view or edit, go to the homescreen or another app; then return, the contact would no longer be there. I'd have to search and re-open the contact. This would be useful if I wanted to create a new contact from their contact info online. I would like to be able to copy the phone number then add it to the phone field for that contact. Go back to the browser and copy the address, then paste it into the address field for that contact. I'm unable to do that with the default address book on my device.

Check out Youlu Address Book.

I tried that one. It will allow me to search by using a few letters of first and last name.
The downside is that it will only allow me to use 1 GMail account.
I have a personal account I use for family & friends.
I have a work account for co-workers and clients.
I have both accounts synced in my default address book.
Youlu will only allow me to use one. If they add the ability to use more than one account, it would be great.

OK. I can't check this out myself as I don't use Google (I know, a real luddite ... ), I just synchronise my contacts with Outlook locally on my PC. And that's it. BUT .... if I go into the Youlu settings > Contact settings > Switch account, it gives me a choice of 'Mobile' or 'my_gmail_account' (I have to have one but I don't actually use it). From that I infer that if all your contacts are in the 'default' phonebook then Youlu will see them all. Which is what I do, I just sync the phonebook with Outlook and Youlu picks up the changes.

So, can you sync all the accounts with the default phonebook and point Youlu at it? Or is that not what you want to do?

I used Outlook when I had my BlackBerry. After switching to Android, I use Gmail exclusively.
I use my personal account for friends and family, and another Gmail account for work. By using Gmail I can have access to my contacts from my phone, as well as any PC. If I add or edit a contact from my PC, the changes will show up on my phone. If I make changes on my phone, it will show up if I log into my account from a PC. Therefore, all of my contacts are in the cloud.

You'd need to setup a new gmail account under settings->accounts & sync->add account.

Then you can select it in the youlu settings!

I'm not quite clear on why I would need to setup a new Gmail account. Youlu shows all of mu accounts, but it only allows me to use one of them at a time.

I can see all of my accounts. The problem is that I can only choose one of them. If I choose my personal Gmail account, I can only see family & friends. If I choose my work Gmail account, I can only see co-workers. I wish there was a way to choose multiple accounts.
