I am looking for an application that will link with Outlook. I synch with my exchange server for mail, contact, and calander. But I have gobs of outlook notes that I want to use on my Sprint Hero. MyLink Access (Advanced) is about the only one that I have found, but their developers have not released anything other than the free version. They told me the advanced would be released before Christmas. I know it is not Christmas yet, but I just don't see that in the future. I would settle for an application that I could manage on my desktop so that I could retype all the notes and then have the desktop synch with the phone .. Please help if you can point me in the right direction.

I'm not sure if you want a real time sync to occur or just a one-time sync. A manual sync can be done between Outlook Notes and Note Everything. I've done it m self. The directions are on SoftXPerience | Home

Note Everything is the best of all the note apps I've found.

A free app called OI Notepad and a free OI Notepad CSV add-on will also allow you to import Outlook notes from a CSV file. Also allows text or voice notes (OI Notepad has several free OI add-ons that enhance functionality).

Worth a look - before I just decided to go the Google Docs route, I was using OI Notepad.

For me, the best solution was to create new contacts with the names:

zzz (note title1)
zzz (note title2)
zzz (note title3)
etc.

Then copy the note's content to the "Note" field of these new contacts.

Next sync your contacts to the android device.

The notes will appear at the end of your contact list. The notes will be editable. Plus, they can be synced in both directions.

After awhile I found that adding notes to a fake contact doed not work very well.

I found an app called MyPhoneExplorer.

The instructions are almost nonexistent. But, I had it installed and working in about 30 minutes.

I did a great job of syncing all of my Outlook 2010 Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes to my HTC Inspire.

You have to install a desktop program on your computer and an app on your phone.

In your phone's apps listing, look for MPEnotes and MPEtasks. That is where you will find your synced notes and tasks.

Syncs via USB, wifi, Bluetooth and fixed IP address

The only cost is a PayPal donate nag screen when you exit the desktop program. I assume that if you make a small donation the nag screen will cease to exist.

Tried to use MyPhoneExplorer with my Samsung Galaxy Note and everything seems fine, the only issue was Notes (very important to me)... Notes were synced but TRUNCATED... I use some small notes (1K or less) but other important notes with 10K or more... MyPhoneExplorer truncates larger notes without notice.

Its probably a limitation of the note app you are syncing to. Most note apps seem to have a cap on the amount of info "notes" can take. Try OneNote or Evernote. Outlook syncs with the desktop programs of either without issues. These programs also have official Android apps, which syncs wirelessly to their desktop counterparts. In their case, the limit of the note contents reaches to the hundreds of MBs.

Go search on the forums ... FJ Software :: Forum anzeigen - English section ... I know the note length has come up a few times but can't remember the details as I don't use that functionality.
