Now I am blown away...there are no limits how far these apps can go....I just downloaded TeamViewer For Remote Control from the Google Play Store. Since I already had TeamViewer on my laptop, I am now sitting here posting this using my cellphone as a wireless remote control for my laptop.
Thank you for this forum, it sure is a lot of fun.
Hint: pick up the screen keyboard from laptop Windows Acessories, that makes it easier to move around the cursor, arrow keys, while editing.
This took me a few minutes to type down, but it works great.

My son thinks that the universe is his just because he has a phone, so like any other teenager, he comes and goes without saying a word. If I want to know where he is, I have to call him. I know he knows that he is to come home how he left. A single childless teen without misdemeanors or felonies. Not interested in tracking is father since we're not together, but if this get's made and someone uses it for that purpose, more power.
I would just like to see a totally free WORKING Teen Tracker that uses realtime GPS, and every text sent or incoming phone call lets you know where they are. Something tells me that my son might want to go where I told him not to go, call me and tell me he's in one place when his phone can send me a truthful answer that he is located in another place. I would also like to quietly back up his contacts named and un-named so in the event he does not call and I want to know where the heck he is, I can pull up his list of contacts and CALL THEM! This must work on all droid phones in the event he shows me that he is worthy of one.
MommasDroid,
The application "Latitude" lets you add contacts or friends to your latitude contacts. Using GPS, it lets you view on a Google map, where that phone is located using the Cellphone signal. You can view the map in satellite view, or plain map view to know the location of the person you are trying to find. Hope that helps!
How about an app where you can "draw" out Chinese characters on the phone/tablet which is sync'd to a computer and use the phone to write Chinese text. Basically, the phone becomes the means to input Chinese characters to a computer (like a desktop which doesn't have the trackball.) This could also be extended to include other languages like Japanese, Korean, Thai, Arabic, etc.
If somebody makes a RSS feed directly to RMS TEXT Message, I'd be delighted to test it for you. Once proven product, I would gladly subscribe if price is reasonable.
RSS message sent from service offering work (jobs)
Your App service receives and pushes/pulls RSS feed message very often. The more often the better. Immediate is worth $$
Filters set to certain keyword would be worth. more $$ to me.
IF keyword then send text else ignore message.
Sends RMS TEXT message to Android phone (truncated to a certain number of characters would not be a problem for me.
I would hopefully get a jump on my competitor or at least an even footing.
I hear text alarm and use an app from job service to see the work offered and bid for it. Often the work is first reply gets the work.
It would be important the cell phone make a sound that can be heard. Something unique to the app, but with a volume control would be fantastic.
Gmail does not make a sound that can be heard when cell phone in carry case. Text message was very poor volume, but my Sprint store Assistant Manager was able to improve text message sound today.
Again, once proven, I would subscribe to it.
Currently, service pulls RSS to email which when working correctly sents SMS Text message alert. That method has been iffy and slow at times ... or failed all together. When that happens, my competitors get the work and I am empty handed.

P.s. i know absolutely nothing about making apps. Just something i thought of while making a deposit at the bank of stinky

See your local root forum for how to change the system file controlling that and other tricks. It's doable but only with root.
And if the game doesnt work, don't blame the devs. When you do those tricks, ya pays your money and takes ya chances.
I would really love to see an app for my phone to estimate automotive repair. I currently use "real time" to etimate jobs as a mechanic, you just set your hourly rae and it estimates job costs according to how long the job will take X your hourly rate. This would be a beneficial app for everyone because you could also use it to check on job costs on your own vehicle while its in the shop getting repaired.
Take that app that lets you compare product prices by taking pictures of the bar code (smartshop or something like that?) and let it simply track your purchases while you're in a store. You tell it what store you're in, and as you throw things into your shopping cart, you first take a picture of the bar code and then tell it how many you're buying. It should be able to track sales tax, etc.
It should also have a mode where you can use items in your pantry, or items from online databases, to build a shopping list. Bonus if you can tell it, over time, where in the store that item is located, so that when you come back for future shopping trips, it will order your shopping list accordingly. That way you don't have to hunt back and forth from aisle to aisle to make sure you got everything on your list (nor will you have a bunch of missed items at the end of your trip, forcing you to go back through the store to find them), nor do you have to scan through your list to make sure you got everything from the current aisle.
And screams/alarms if you're on the verge of spending way too much!

MommasDroid,
Provided that they (your contacts) share their locations with you. So if this app is installed on your son's phone, he/you should enable the sharing option with you, and preferably the "best available location" option.

Urgent help needed for a much needed backing tracks app
Backing Track is the only Android app that I can find that will play music backing tracks one track at a time, it's not great and it doesn't work on my Galaxy Note 2.
I'm a converted iphone user and there is a great iphone app called backtrax which does the job perfectly. You set up a playlist, the main screen has that playlist in list form that you can either scroll through and select the track you need or it cues up the track after the one that's just ended. But it must stop after each track. A big button to stop or play on the main screen is needed to. I need this app urgently. Can any developer help ? Thanks in advance

Thanks for you reply!
I been looking up and down the market for an app with that feature, so far no luck . Ill give those 2 apps a shot and see ... other wise i have to give up since i know nothing about programming ... lol
Hey, some may have mentioned this before, but the streaming video idea is sweet. The 'scanning receipts and budgeting' idea has already been done for PCs, but not for phones, I don't think.
MY IDEA: An app that allows you to use a single hi-res 'landscape' sized pic that will spread across ALL 'home screens'! I have some really short, long pics I'd LOVE to put on wallpaper! I just thought it makes sense if you can scroll across all screens so easy, why not have a big pic spread over them?
I work at a place that helps handicapped and disabled persons prepare for and find jobs in the community. We have a kitchen which has a Point of Sale (register) where our clients can learn how to enter the sales , collect the money and give back change when necessary. The hardest part for most of them to learn is giving back change. The amount of change to be given back is on the screen - the dollar bills are not an issue but the change (cents) is always a problem. I would love to be able to place an Android tablet next the the register and when the screen calls for $.xx for change, they would be able to enter that amount into the app and the app would show in picures of quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies - how to come up with the correct change. And alternatives if you have no dimes for instance. I have found the opposite - the pictures of coins and you have to enter the correct total for learning, but I would love to see the other way around. Does anyone know of an app with this ability?
When I hook the phone (galaxy s3) to my external screen i'd like the phone to become a trackpad and the dpi to be adjusted for a bigger screen and resolution. An app that does that would be awesome!
I am wondering if there is an app that will block data usage for selected apps unless on wifi. Alot of apps now have the option of only using data on when connected to a wifi network, but not all of them. This would help out for overall data usage. If an app for this doesn't exist what would it take to develop, i would be willing to help with funding and actual development. the actual development help wouldn't be alot to start till i got a better handle on how to do it.
I wanna see an app that USB tethers based off of a WiFi connection. Example: use a non-wifi equipped computer, plug in an android, and instead of using mobile data, give the computer your home wifi connection. could save some people a lot of money. In other words, a WiFi card.

A simple flashlight app that doesn't open a screen; just turns on the LED flashlight. I know widgets can do this, but they can't go in the bottom row and sometimes you need a flashlight quickly, so you want it docked on the screen.

Hello there..
Today I thought it would be nice for there to be an app that will scan the bar code on lottery tickets, like 649, Lotto max, etc.. And check the winning numbers and then give an output with how many are correct, if any.
The only ones available in the play store are apps that give u the winning numbers, which is as good as having a website bookmarked.
Hello all!
My name is Thomas and my colleagues and I have went back to the drawing board on this one.. We are in the later stages of redeveloping our Tech solutions application. Please read below:
Having tech problems? Wish there was an app for quick solutions?
We are Tech it Easy, a startup based in DC, and we are developing that app. We want to gauge the level of interest in a tech solutions app and hear any suggestions from users like yourself on what you would like to see in our app. If you have a few moments, e-mail tech_it_easy@yahoo.com with any suggestions or comments. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
My wife and I are going to take part in a search party tomorrow, look lost dog. A group will be meeting, making a plan to spread out, and search an area where the pet might be.
It struck me that whether searching for a pet, a lost child, or a lost item, it would be great to have an app with each party member to coordinate activities and track progress. Thoughts for features:
* One or more party leader can set up a named party, including details of start time; GPS location of meet point; photos, video, information about search target, etc.
* Party volunteers can check for parties in their area, or requests can be pushed to registered members.
* Each party member can log in at the start, log out when leaving, into a specific search party.
* Party members each see a map of the area being searched.
* Map could track your progress through search area using GPS.
* Each party member's GPS location can be uploaded to search database, say every couple minutes.
* Simultaneously, GPS locations of other search party members are downloaded, so you can see where others have searched.
* Potential sightings can be flagged, so other nearby party members can be alerted.
* Party leaders can notify team if target is found to end search.
* Party members could share pics if needed... maybe even half duplex audio (i.e. push to talk).
I'm sure there are other ideas, but that's what I have so far... thoughts?
I've got two... I'm not a developer, so if someone decides to make these, send me a free copy!
The first one is simple...
I want to buy an ebook. I log into my kindle app, google play, nook app, and kobo app and look at the price to determine which one to buy from...
Why can't there be an app that compares them all with one search?
The second would probably require hardware, distribution, and a lot of hassle, but could be very lucrative.
So you are in a giant store, like Wal Mart. Where is the ______? You could try to find the one stoned idiot working there... or you could use the in store search app, that guides you straight to the product via some sort of GPS, or more likely, a system wired in the shelves or something.
You could even make it have a function where you have a shopping list, like on Out of Milk, and it finds each item on your list, and creates the most efficient route through the store to collect each item, and then produces a barcode that can be scanned and ring up the entire cartload of crap at once. It would also be easy to tie into a coupon app to do all that in one swipe too. Stores could push people through line faster, meaning lower payroll.
This could revolutionize big box shopping. I'm sure big chains like Home Depot, Wal Mart, etc. would be all over this.

I would like a browser with an automatic scrolling capability which easily without touching the screen with a changeable speed it would do the scrolling, if you already know one please pm me. I searched and didn't find anything
So here's an idea. I don't know how sane or even remotely possible it is. But, maybe a copying machine in the phone. I'm a college girl who really needs these xeroxes one night before the exams and rushing to a shop is a pain. I know its a stupid thing but really wish that was possible.
Another very possible idea is an app for grocery shopping. Simple thing but have not come across one that exists. Does it?

Separate ap serving VOXER users (1/2 million)
Allow certain persons in my Voxer address list to receive Voxtexts as a SMS, and that person's reply to a received text would post it to the Voxer conversation annotated "SMS only".
They would suffer not having voice or photo but FAR better than nothing and the feature would continue to grow the Voxer family .. subtly encouraging them to upgrade their phone, or to simply join Voxer.
As it is, friends who are excluded from my vox address list often miss out on opportunities & events because, as ringleader of the group I have stopped providing updates by other means.
Voxer has improved and made communications easier - so HELP PLEASE - don't want to loose friends over this!
Provide a time&date-stamp formatted to my preference
I'm amazed this isn't part of the Android OS.
So convenient to keep track of notes, etc
Ap should always be available in notifications (a nice touch by Clipper). This way wherever I need a timestamp on clipboard I can pull down notifications, select "Timestamp to clipboard" - then simply paste it wherever I wish.
Sample timestamp

Addon idea - Lat/Long (geotag) stamp with similar UI

How about an app that accesses your facebook, gmail, google+ etc. data to tell you if your friends are online or not so you know how and when to talk to them
I would love to have a app that I could use with my mothers rental properties. we could add in a database the properties and be able to put in repair orders with a date they need completed by. this would help me greatly. As well as getting rid of all the paper in my truck....
My app idea is on Fruits where the users can go to local stores and events to buy the fruits that they need, connecting it with facebook and database and check to see if they are available or not, using a list and including checkbox.
