Default Smileys Emoticons and other phones

Ok, this is probably the first time ever I haven't been able to find an answer by googling. I have a droid, girlfriend has blackberry. Our smileys don't get converted to pictures in SMS because blackberry uses a different format than android. For example, android smiley is :-) and blackberry uses :)

Does anyone know where a list of the blackberry smilies are? or an app that would convert between the two. I'm going nuts here.

Thanks!

Did you find a solution to this? Or does anyone else have an answer? I'm in the exactly the same boat...

I'm not sure, but I don't think there is anything you can do about it.

Use a messaging app that exists on both platforms (like HeyWire or Go SMS Pro) and you won't have a problem.
