Hi all,

I recently bought an HTC Desire HD and am struggling a bit with figuring how and what to use for navigation.

There are to my knowledge 5 different navigationy GPSy features:

1. Navigation
2. Car Panel
3. Latitude
4. Locations
5. Footprints

I want to be able to use the car panel for navigation as it is relatively clear and uses google's free navigation, along with 3d display. However, how do I set my destination using my starred locations on google maps?

I am able to choose from my stared locations if I am using the Navigation app but I dont get the car panel or the 3d display, just a bird's eye view.

When using car panel, the only destination options I get are typing it in manually, choosing from a list of footprints (which I thought were just for geotagging photos?! why would you want to go there anyway?) or a list of nearby attractions? or places in your history...

Latitude seems to be some kind of social networking geotagging app...

locations looks like the only way I can edit footprints...?

Any way, I'm thoroughly confused as to what im supposed to be using and what things are for. Can somebody clarify these 5 things to me and explain how I get my starred locations from google maps to my car panel?

Thanks, I kind of knew everything it was talking about on the web page that was linked. I was looking for a clarification on why there are so many apps that seem to overlap each other in functionality, but no one way of using them all in conjunction. It just seems like bad planning on behalf of HTC and Google..

Also just found out that when you actually select a destination in the google navigation app, it does give you a birds eye view, and you can access your starred places from this app.
