Default Exchange ActiveSync Hotmail Problem

Hi,

Is anyone else having issues with Hotmail and Exchange ActiveSync recently?

As of two days ago, my phone will not sync emails with Hotmail. Contacts and Calendar syncing works just fine, but the email sync just never completes.

If I delete and add the account again, the initial list of emails comes through, but it never updates.

Anyone else out there seeing this?

server: m.hotmail.com
username: ***@hotmail.co.uk

SSL connection: yes

My Outlook/Hotmail email, contacts, and calendar are all automatically synchronizing perfectly with the stock apps on my Android 2.2.1 LG Optimus S, both directions. Make sure that the synchronization and visibility settings on your Android device are set properly for email, contacts, AND calendar. You can find detailed instructions in this thread.

Thanks. Yeah, been there, checked that. For some reason calendar entries created on the phone aren't showing up online. I may remove the account from my wife's DX2 and add it again to see if that helps...

Default problems deleting hotmail emails

Not sure if this is a sync problem as new emails come thru but when I delete emails from my HTC, when it refreshed, they are still there. Any ideas?

You should set up Outlook and your phone to access your Hotmail account through it's (synchronized) MAPI protocol. It is also possible to add a Hotmail account as a POP mail account, in which case, it won't be synchronized.

Thanks this worked perfectly for me!
Unfortunately, couldn't get more than 1 Hotmail Exchange account.
