i am getting an android powered tablet in the very near future that i plan to use for school wen it comes back but unfortunatly, the school has strict firewalls (a few i know how to get around, but i cant get to fb or youtube) because the officials are paranoid as can be. so i was wondering if anyone has come out with a proxy app for android tablets. kind of like ultrasurf for mobile devices.
and if there isnt any good proxy app, then if someone would make one, i would be willing to pay a bit of money for a working one.
I'm sure a triviality like Facebook can wait until you're out of school at the end of the day, same for Youtube.

i know this is old but i couldn't just resist replying to the AS*HOLE mikedt, wtf man if you cant answer his question just don't reply, he wants what he wants if you cant help or don't agree just don't write you stupid comment, and BTW there are couple of proxy apps like "ProxyDroid" and "SSH Tunnel", the first one you can use it directly with http, https socks proxys, the second one you need an ssh server and probably more secure.
I like MRACHINI's comment vis a vis just answering a question...
Here's a somewhat naive question. I've downloaded ProxyDroid onto my rooted HTC Sense, but I still can't seem to get Pandora to work (I live in Perú). Does anyone have any idea as to what settings I need to use on ProxyDroid in order to do so? I no longer get the message that Pandora doesn't work in my country, but the message is now that Pandora is not able to connect....
You might want to look at using a paid VPN or proxy service, which do work with Android. Often the free ones don't work with geolocation restricted services like Pandora or Hulu, probably because they know their IP address ranges and can block them. Frequently the free proxy services are completely overloaded and are so slow, you can't stream anyway.
A paid service should also allow you to look at Facebook and Youtube, even if there is corporate or countrywide(GFW China) censoring blocking them.
