Default Bluetooth Voice Command for Samsung Infuse (SGH-I997)

Please Help,

After reading all the various forums, I still don't have an answer to the very simple question of how to get bluetooth voice command on my Android. I just got the Samsung Infuse from AT&T and like all the other Samsung Androids I've read about, basic bluetooth voice commands don't work.

Some forums said to install the latest 2.2.1 firmware, but my Android has that.

Are voice apps like Voice Speed Dial from Cyberon or VoicePOD from MOBK any good?

Does anyone have an answer? Samsung and AT&T sure don't.

Voice Speed Dial are good, i try with headphones and work well, but use tags, you need configure the contacts more used, and previously read the name of each contact, the program store your voice and compare when you speak.

Eric had this same problem solved by a savy AT&T rep. The application you need is called "Choice Dialer". Its a freebie and I'm now voice commanding with ease through my platronics ear piece.

Thumbs up Samsung Infuse (SGH-I997) and Blue Ant Q2 Headset

I recently replaced my Blue Ant Q1 Headset with a Q2 thinking I would be getting a better headset with more features. Well, the Q2 is missing the one feature that I used all the time the voice command, "Call Speed Dial 2 (or 3 ...)". I called Blue Ant after visiting their web site and finding nothing helpful and found out that the Q2 does not have that command that it can only voice dial if you phone can. After searching I ending up here. This thread was very helpful.

The "Voice Search" that came with the phone works well for texting but doesn't work well for calling. I never get the contact in my phone book that I'm looking for and it doesn't work with the Blue Ant Q2. (I want to be able to make phone calls while I'm driving without touching the phone.)

I looked for the "Choice Dialer" application that was mentioned but couldn't find it. I did find "Voice Speed Dial" for $2.99. It is supposed to work without internet access and you setup the tags for the contacts you want to call. I just installed it and setup a tag for my "Dial To Do" contact and it worked fine.

I was able to initiate a call from my Blue Ant Q2 headset without touching my phone. $2.99 is not much to pay for that!
