Syncing Google Calendar with Pre-installed Calendar app on Droid
I haven't been able to figure out how to do this and the only way I can get to my Google calendar is to go thru the browser and log in. Am I missing something?
My calendar syncs with no problems. Are you looking at the "calendar" or "corporate calendar"?
1. Open the "calendar" app (not corporate calendar)
2. Hit menu
3. More
4. My Calendars
5. Be sure "your" calendar is there and check the box. It should be listed as <username>@gmail.com

Hi jwbeeler, I can't fully sync Google calendar to my Milestone, events only show up in the current month and last month. I wonder if there is only limited period to sync to the phone? Are you able to see whole 2009 events on your phone? Thx in advance

I have the Motorola Droid and can see my entire calendar. Check around in teh setting of your phone. It should be capable of synching all items (assumption only)...

These are old posts but I am having a similar but differant problem on my wife's new Droid Pro. My DX shows the Google calendar without issue. when I go to the menu on the calendar as suggested on the phone, I see my google gmail designation. On my wife's Pro, there is no calendar that is associated with the phone. When I do the same on her phone, all I see is the email sync, no calendar. Everything I can think of is set the same on her google account as mine. She gets gmail, contacts but no calendar. Any idea how to solve this?
Yes - Have used google claendar sync to sync outlook to her google calendar and that is working. The only calendar she has on the phone is the stock droid calendar and can't find a way to make it the google calendar so it syncs. she does get contacts and gmail so the account is there.
Instead of a new thread, I figured I'd piggyback onto this one.
I have a Droid X that is not correctly syncing with my Google calendar. I added a new calendar to my Google calendar a day ago, but it's not showing up on the calendar app on my DX. I can find no way to have my DX re-sync, so I'm assuming it does this on its own? When I go into the calendar and go to Menu > More > Calendars the new calendar is not listed there.
Are you sure you have the Google account set up in the phone? From a home screen, press the menu button, then choose "Settings" and then "Accounts". Make sure the google account is listed. If it is press it and make sure you have set it up to sync your calendar.
PS - if there are no check marks in the account settings that allow you the option of choosing which functions (contacts, calendar, etc) to sync, then you don't have "Syncing" turned on. I use one of the power bar widgets to give me easy access to the master sync function. Perhaps this is turned off on your phone too.

I did what you suggested, and it shows that it's syncing with gmail (though there are no check marks anyplace). I even manually did it, and it still will not show the new calendar that I added, though it did remove the ones I removed from my calendar on my PC.

What is the difference between "Corporate" and not? I only have one calendar on my Droid.
Online, my gmail account is set up with a "other intereresting calendars" option - in this case it is my favorite Baseball teams schedule. While it shows up on my personal calendar (in red) online - it does not show up on my Droid calendar, which is synced with the one online, and it doesn't show up on my Xoom (also in sync).
anytime I put something manually on my calendar (in any of the three places) they will show up on all three after a sync.
BUT my baseball schedule maintains online only. I did notice that the option to get notifications is not available on the baseball schedule in the online settings.
Hope no-one minds me Piggy-backing as well, but I seem to have issues with Google's public Birthdays Calendar syncing properly onto my Samsung Galaxy S. All of the calendar widgets I have only show some, not all of the Birthdays on said calendar. Anyone else have the same problem?
