Question Handcent sms led notifier?

I RECENTLY DOWNLOADED HANDCENT SMS AND IT GIVES ME AN OPTION ON MY DROID ERIS to THE CHANGE THE LED COLOR TO ABOUT 5 DIFFERENT COLORS. I'VE TRIED EVERY COLOR AND IT NEVER WORKS. THE LED DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK EVEN FOR REGULAR NOTIFICATIONS. ANY IDEAS? HELP.

did you turn off notifications in the default messaging app?

Yes i did. That's what everyone in the forums said to do once you install handcent or else you will get notified from both applications...the internal one and handcent.

Doesn't work on my HTC Eris either. I changed it to RED, disabled the LED notification and then re-enabled that notification ... got a message and it's still flashing the standard (amber ?) color.

I submitted a "bug report" to the developer about this. Here's his response:
