HTC Sync problem

Hi,
I have a HTC Incredible S that I try to Sync. The Exchange sync works well, but the document sync seems to work just one way, from PC to phone. I cannot find any setting that has to do with this ... I fnd it unlikely that it is not possible, i have done it for almost 10 years with other platforms.
