Just put a Wifi toggle on your homescreen and touch it if you want wifi off. Why?

That's interesting as most people would likely want the opposite. In either case, Tasker can easily do this for you.

Am i missing something?

I have galaxy S2.

Once there is a call, i see on the screen the name of the caller, and i can' either answer or reject. BUT i cannot suddenly close the wifi, close the 3G etc.
the only 2 things o can do once someone is calling me are - answer or reject!

this is why i want an app that once i am answering a call, the app itself will close the wifi and the 3G (in order to reduce radiation near my ear)

Do you live near a nuclear plant? Sorry, couldn't resist.

You might look at: http://www.appbrain.com/app/shake-toggle/com.koo.shaketoggle

But I wouldn't be surprised that if you got a call on 3G and you disconnected 3G, that you'd lose your call.

He has a valid concern. Se Electromagnetic fields from mobile telephones could possibly lead to cancer – UN for example.

Anyway - OT Tasker is your best bet. Should be straightforward to set up a profile that watches for the phone to be answers, turns 3G/wifi off, then turns it back on when the call is over. The trick is to find the right profile template. There is a tasker thread on this forum that can help you find it.

How about common sense?

WiFi or 3G is the connection that call comes in on. Close WiFi and 3G and you close that call. I.o.w. if you want to avoid radiation you would have to cut off all incoming calls, and never make one yourself either. Is that what you got a phone for? Oh, and better make sure you shut off GPS and Bluetooth too. That's also radiation!

You cannot make telephone calls with a wireless phone without any radiation. Full stop.

The good news is that they have researched the hell out of this urban legend of 'dangerous radiation from cell phones' for well over 2 decades now and never yet found any hard, uncontested evidence. None!

Want to shield yourself from all kinds of radiation swirling all around (and through) you through the aether 24/7, 365 days a year? Wear a tin foil hat!

I disagree with the premis. Currently EM fields from telephones are in the same category as caffeine or solar radiation yet I don't see people shunning coffee and lining their homes with lead to protect themselves. The premise is a little absurd.

Still if it makes the OP sleep better at night (and we all do absurd things that help us sleep better at night sometimes) Tasker is still what I'd recommend. I would think a profile to do this would be very easy to set up.

I beg to differ: we know exactly what the downside risks of cafeine and solar radiation are. We don't know, however, what the downside risks of cellphone radiation are. Because we haven't found any! Despite researching the hell out of it over the past two decades, all over the world! Trust me, they've looked HARD. And when scientists everywhere have looked hard for 20 years and not found anything you may assume there are no great risks. I.o.w. cellphone radiation is not in the same category as cafeine or solar radiation! It is not in any risk category!
