Just installed the new official Hotmail app. It's good, except I can't get the vibrate notifications to turn off on my OG Motorola Droid, nor does the notification light flash when I have a new email. I'd like the notification to just be a taskbar notification and a flashing notification light.

In the settings it has an option for sound, message, and vibrate notification; I turned off both sound and vibrate and kept only message notifications on, but my phone still vibrates when I have a new email.

Anyone having the same problem? Anyone know how to fix it? Could the settings from another app be affecting it? FWIW I use Handcent for texts and I have notifications turned off in the native Messaging app.

Desire HD here, just tested what you have described and can say that turning vibrate off does stop it vibrating. But I do not get a light flash.
It's a new app and there is bound to be a couple of bugs floating around which hopefully will be fixed sooner rather than later.

Thanks for testing it out. One guy with a D3 also reported the issue over at droidforums. I uninstalled for now until the vibrate + no notification light is sorted out.
