Hi guys, I want to present you a brand new version of Lapse It written from scratch and now it's NATIVE, you can capture really astonishing time-lapse videos with your device
For those who don't know, Time-Lapse is a photograph technique that is useful when you are trying to capture gradually changing events, such as growing plants, the movement of clouds, or the rising and setting of the sun. When played back at standard frame rates, events occur rapidly onscreen and otherwise undetectable patterns emerge, and that's what Lapse It allows you and your phone to do.
You can download it for free in Android Market, or you can visit our website and have more information at lapseit.com
Features:
• New native version written from scratch
• Powerful rendering engine based on LibAV
• Well designed UI improving visual and usability
• Capture resolution up to 720P on the full version
• Cool effects applied while capturing or before rendering
• Capture timer based on time or frames
• Render as MP4, MOV or FLV
• No restrictions for capture length or frames
• Video trimmer
• Easily adjustable settings
• Upload directly to YouTube, Facebook and many others
Common guys, this app is really nice and FREE, it's not possible that no one here gave a try. Please post some comments and feedbacks, I will really appreciate.

Ok, downloaded it and gave it a try. Crap. Now I need to by the car dock so I can use this in the car easily. Cool app, I've wanted something like this, just didn't like the ways other apps did it. I see myself using this to spy on my cats, maybe point it at myself when I'm carving wood, lots of ideas floating around in my skull right now!
PS: Either make an option to silence the shutter sound or get rid of it completely. Don't really need/want that for a time lapse app.

The Following User Says Thank You to Hrethgir For This Useful Post:

The fake shutter sound will only scare off animals and alert people, making the app useless.
Also, it doesn't store on the SD card but occupies valuable internal memory. And it's 3,21MB! I.o.w.: not a tiny app...
And it's even worse: Lapse It does not show up in the Uninstaller app's list, so it cannot be un-installed and permanently wastes 3,21MB of your precious internal memory! SO STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!

On my Android 2.3.4 Lapse It ('Native') is not listed in Settings > Apps > Manage Installed Apps, not in App2SD, not in Uninstaller, and cannot be found with File Expert's search function.
I did install it, shot approx 20 exposures with it (couldn't get it to stop! Had to reboot), but never found a way to uninstall it, because it isn't listed anywhere. So it's still there, invisible, wasting my internal memory space.

If your phone is rooted you can find the app directory in the /data/data/com.ui.LapseIt and delete it manually.

Sorry and thanks
My phone is not rooted.
No thanks for an app that is useless, invisible, wastes valuable space, and cannot be uninstalled.
What other nefarious characteristics can I expect?

once again great app will be waiting for you to make the app movable to SD.
I read that apps that uses services are not compatible with app2sd, but I can move my app without problem, I really dont know how to implement this feature.
I daren't try this application. Apparently, looking at the above it also makes you a prick too.
it can be uninstalled without problems that i can attest too. i am running this app on 3 of my phones( SE-play, LG-optimus black and HTC-sensation ). is pretty good in doing sun rise/set, flowers bloom.... etc
only minor complain i have is not being able to move to sd.

After the last update you were able to move the app for the sdcard? I implemented something to allow to do that.
Anyway in a future version you will chose where you want save your captures files.
I just bought it (twice actually by accident!), but I can't get schedule to activate....?? Also two suggestions : first, my first attempts recorded sideways because of the way it records - would be nice if you could flip image sequences by 45 degrees to fix that. Also, would really like if the screen shut off after a couple minutes but it continued to run. Nice app overall though. Maybe add a facility to apply music at some point and then Itl be perfect!
Spotty, two of your requested features are already implemented and the music one is coming.
For flipping you have Flip X and Flip Y check boxes in the Preview view, for turning "off" the screen you have the Brightness level in the Settings view ( You can set it to zero ).
And there will be an update to embed music files together with the video sometime soon.
Thanks for the feedback
Also Lapse It just got a new version in the Market, some of the recent changes are:
• Full camera resolution captures
• Backwards Lapses
• Improved image quality
• Fixed 6000+ frames bug ( now theoretically unlimited )
• Overall tweaking and fixes
If you enjoy the app, please share it with your friends

Thanks maurrubio - any idea why scheduling isn't working for me? Or how do I activate it? Will it start up the app, or do I have to leave it on the image capture screen? Using an S2. Thanks!
Hello guys the app has now more then 300k installs, we just released another great update, now Lapse It has a Stop Motion mode and support for Holo and ICS Themes, also we not support 1080p rendering and full sensor capture.
I've tried it and I love it.
I may get a tripod and necklace for my sgs2 so I can use it while traveling.
I've tried it on my car and even though I was only using the free version, the 240p video came out really nice.
I also noticed that it didn't use a lot of battery whole in operation.
I took an experimental video of a 2+ hour car ride time lapsed to 2minutes.
I'll be buying the paid version if I can get a necklace strap for my phone. I'm going to Singapore in two weeks and I wanna time lapse my trip.
however the feature im looking for in this app is to take videos while the phone is upright/vertical.
as it is the only takes photos/time lapse when the phone is vertical and it will not auto rotate nor is there a setting to make take videos vertically.
there are many instances when i cant have the phone held horizontally and having it take vertical time lapses is better than me having to rotate the video manually in my non linear editor.

Agreed.
I enjoyed this silent app on my 1st generation Droid. Now that I've got it on my Droid Bionic it's noisy--even when the "shutter" on the stock camera doesn't make a sound.
Will uninstall until this can be fixed. Seriously disappointed.
Why there is no shutter sound when I set it ON? (Galaxy Tab P1000)
People usually do not want the shutter sound. I want :-)
I make still animations, so there is no time to watch the screen to know when the picture will be taken. The shutter sound would tell me when to take my hands off the "stage" :-)
In my tablet, everythinks works good, except the sound in Lapse It. I set the sound ON, even in my tablet, even in LapseIt settings, but nothing is playing.
When I normally take pictures with my tablet (photo application) the sound sounds ok. Only in LapseIt can't use it.
Please help...
Greetings,
JA
