'3' Music Player by RockOn
Hey everyone, if you're tired of the boring stock media player, this player called '3', or rather, 'cubed' can spice up your Android music playing. Check out the video below:
You gotta search 'rockon' in the market to find it, since it's a superscript 3.

Wow... this just completely outdid not only my eris player but also my ipod touch music app. The only thing that irritates me... why isn't there an app icon?

scan the barcode with 'Barcode Scanner' app and it links right to it. It just has a generic icon (default apk icon)

You can do a market scan for "rockon" and find it (it is about the 3rd selection down) providing your operating system is supported.

I liked it, but it played all my sound files, vs just the Music folder. Maybe I missed something?

Looks cool, but I like my music apps to be simpler. It just seems like the interface is unnecessarily complex and too much swiping required.
But that's why we have choices. Looks great though.

This was my opinion as well. Looks cool but I can't even imagine using it with too many albums. Maybe I haven't spent enough time with it.
The one thing it does have that I still don't understand why any other music program doesn't have is the ability to customize your album either from what it finds online or something already on your phone itself.

Does anyone know where I'd be able to find the files associated with the album art for rockon3 on my sd? Some of them got mixed up and I just want to reload all of them instead of fixing them individually.

I tried Mixzing for a while until 3 (RockOn) came out.. then there was no looking back... the best music player on Android.. no doubt about it.

Yeah.. you're missing a (nomedia) file in the folders you don't want media played. For instance you add a 'nomedia' file to your navigation sounds so that you aren't bumping the latest hit by Green Day and then suddenly you hear 'turn left in 100 meters'. This is the app to define music apps.

I've been using Mixzing and love it. What does 3 have going for it that Mixzing is lacking? Just thought I'd get user opinions before downloading it.

I guess I need to do this...I'm running the stock media player on my HTC Hero, and it picks up all of my ringtones/notifications in addition to my music. Is it just a text file titled 'nomedia'?

I've used Meridian. It is great, but the last time that I used it it didn't have a widget. Does it have one now? I use mixzing which has a 4x4 widget.

It is the crisscrossing arrows. They're both on the widget and in the app itself.

Was loving it
This was working great, on many of the Villain ROMS but I have just installed an AOSP ROM and now the music stops whenever my Hero goes to sleep. Very annoying.
