Angry Unable to access market!!

My market app got self-updated and ever since then ive been having problems using it. im unable to access market for few hours now.. it just keeps loading and the connection gets timed out. so i tried uninstalling the updates, since clearing data and cache didnt work. And now the basic version of the market doesnt work at all. starts loading and closes. Help?

Clear dat a and cache for Market and Download Manager.

Might be a stupid question but u do have data or wifi on right?? If its timing out sounds like ur not getting any signal

Not a stupid question at all. I was about to ask the same and if the OP can access the internet too? If the device can connect to the net but not the market, sounds like an install issue.
