Tasks N Todos Tasks/Todo List App - Get Organized Effortlessly
Hi everyone!
I would like to introduce to you guys our newly released Tasks N Todos!
This to-do list application aims to help you get organized effortlessly with these key features:
Intelligently Designed UI
Simplified Task Management
Sync with Google Tasks
Tablet Optimized
More features include:
- Full synchronization support with Google Tasks using official Google Tasks API
- Setup task reminder notifications for one-time as well as repeating tasks
- Tasks can be set to repeat automatically with flexible recurrence schedule
- Calendar-style date picker with quick date pickers for Today, Tomorrow and Next Week.
- Even faster access with homescreen widgets with quick shortcuts to add or view tasks
- Backup/restore data to SD card
- Fully optimized for both Android tablets and smartphones
- and more...
Looks interesting; have a couple of questions though:
1. Does it create entries in the default calendar on the phone?
2. Does it support recurring tasks
Limit of 2 tasks in the lite version, are you kidding? This looks almost exactly like Gtasks which is half the size. No restrictions with Gtasks (other than ads). UI is a bit better in your app, in that text size is a little larger. Both sync with Google Tasks the same, and seem to have the same windows. Having a bookmark browser link to Google Tasks is "almost" as easy to use.

Hi Muqtaliff,
Thanks for giving Tasks N Todos a try! In response to your questions:
1. Our app is not tied to the default calender of any phone. We will keep this feedback in mind and see what we can do with that.
2. Yes it does. You will see a 'Repeat' function at the lower half of the screen when creating or editing a task. Tap on that and you customize the repeat frequency. Do note that a due date is required before the 'Repeat' function can be used.

Hi tcat007,
Thanks for trying out Tasks N Todos and leaving us some feedback!
This app lets you navigate tasks lists quickly with swiping features and you can manage your tasks easier by activating quick action menus with just one tap. It is also fully optimized for tablets. More features will be added in future updates too.

Just a clarification, the lite version allows two task lists to be synchronized, not just two tasks.

Version 1.0.1
Hi everyone!
Tasks N Todos version 1.0.1 has just been published to the Android Market.
Updates Include:
NEW FEATURES
- Task priority assignment: Tasks can now be assigned a priority level of low, medium or high. Tasks can also be sorted by priority level.
- Set due date directly from task list: Tapping on the mini-calendar icon now opens the Set Due Date dialog.
BUG FIXES
- Fix sync on task
- Fix missing selector on background item
- Fix position changes during action on task
I'll try it again and change my feedback if it works well. I'm using Gtasks now that works well, but not the best UI (text size is a bit small for my eyes). When I had tried yours, it didn't seem to sync (but I did have 3 lists). I deleted one so I have 2, will try it today. Thanks for responding!
edit: Tried it. Syncs fine now. It appears almost identical to Gtasks, same "smallish" text with no options to change text size or color (in either app). Sticking with Gtasks (only because it's a bit simpler and smaller app size)... if there were some UI options in either I would go with it. Also don't like your big clock icon on your widgets (too much real estate).

I had pretty much settled into Any.DO, but I thought I'd give this another shot since it's free today (thanks!). After a quick evaluation, I still don't like the font. I am now on a 5" Galaxy Player where font is seldom an issue. The first time I looked at this app I was on a 3.2" screen and I just couldn't read anything. Now I can read some, but much of it is too small and there still doesn't seem to be an option to change it. Back to Any.DO for me. Maybe it's OK on a 10" tablet....

Does this app allow tasks to be shared between devices? For instance I can add a task and have it show up on my wife's phone or vise verse if we are both running this app? I have yet to find an app that will do this.

Tried the free download from Amazon. But afterwards I kept getting this little message popping up saying "Service Started" while using other apps. Uninstalling got rid of that.
I too downloaded the Amazon free version. There needs to be an option to immediately discard completed tasks (perhaps with a warning) so that a separate menu selection is not required.

Hi valorian,
Sure that can happen if both your devices sync the same email account.
We have added a new feature that allows you to share out a task via email in v1.1.4 for the Android Market version. Update the app and give it a try!

Hi Brian,
You may like to disable the 'Confirm Before Delete' settings available in the Settings page.
Press the Menu button in Tasks N Todos and tap on Settings. You should be able to see the delete confirmation settings there.

Thanks for the update. I tried this but it's not exactly what I was looking for. I'm currently using Any.Do. With this app you select "Share" then select someone in your contacts. After you save, a couple seconds later the person you shared the task with gets a notification to accept the task. You accept it and it adds to your tasks.

I can't get it to work either on my nookcolor. Keeps trying to load and then shuts off. Wish it would work.

Tasks N Todos v1.1.7
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Tasks N Todos has just been updated to v1.1.7 in Android Market!
New Features:
- Voice recognition task entry
- Ability to share entire list of tasks via email (Pro Version Only)
- New repeat schedule that allow tasks to repeat only on Weekdays
- New 24h time format display option
- Widgets now show Priority levels
There is a difference in the time needed for an update to be reflected in the respective application markets.
Android Market takes about an hour to reflect the app update.
Amazon Appstore has a policy that requires approval of each app update which will takes approximately one to three weeks.
We hope for your understanding.
Regards
Tasks N Todos Team
The last update in the Amazon market was more than two months ago. I can understand a couple of weeks, but you are two versions, and two months, benind there.
I have at least 25 Amazon apps, and the updates are later, but not usually longer than 7 days. Amazon is at 1.1.5, you are at 1.1.7A.... the reason I switched back to Gtasks (which I really don't see much difference in).
I love(d) this app. Got from Amazon when it was free Jan 3. My Pandigital Planet was defective, so I returend for a new device. Now amazon Appstore says app it is not compatible (with either old or new Planet) and I cannot install on my new device. It installed; seemed to work fine last month on old Planet.
Amazon identifies Planet as "Pandigital PD_Novel"
Any clues?

Tasks N Todos v1.1.8 for Android Market
Hello everyone!
Version v1.1.8 has been released in Android Market and that brings more features to the Pro version!
Lite version:
- Minor UI Changes
- Added search by keyword function
- Fixed task filter selection not being saved on re-entering app when set to Custom Order (tablet only)
Pro version:
- Minor UI Changes
- Added search by keyword function
- Added Copy List function
- Added shortcuts to quickly make phone calls, emails and visit web urls
- Added ability to change text size
- Fixed task filter selection not being saved on re-entering app when set to Custom Order (tablet only)
So now the Amazon market is 3 versions behind. There is no way it should take more than two months for an update to be approved by Amazon. It's becoming apparent that the Amazon market is being ignored, and it may be time to just forget Amazon altogether.
