Good point. I sent Roze a free license key to try IM+ Pro and make a conclusion on this question. Anyone else wanna win a key? 5 keys are available. Feel free to leave your comments here, 5 random users will be selected.

We appreciate any feedback, it's really important to us to know your thoughts and wishes on our app. On December 11-th we'll randomly reward those who left feedbacks

I would like a code please.

I miss this app from my iPOD, but the Android version has been very bland compared to it. If you are supporting and updating the Android version, I would love to be able to give it a go.

Are there any plans for push notifications? This one feature is pretty important for me.

Thank you and good luck,
Whiteice

*EDIT* Forgot I had it on my BB Curve 8330 too. And I wasn't allowed to transfer the license unfortunately And it was like $30 USD for the BB version. Was worth it though since I paid for it Thanks for the reminder rkkeller

I had this on my BB and iPhone. If there are any codes left I could use one, I did purchase it once or twice in the past.

You can invite friends to a group chat in MSN and Skype only. We will also add other services in next versions, stay tuned.

To do this, just perform a few easy steps:

1. Choose your MSN or Skype contact, and then open 'Settings' and choose 'More'

2. Choose 'Invite to group chat'

3. Choose buddies you would like to invite

4. Enjoy!

Same here. If you have more licences to give away, I would love one too. Haven`t been completely satisfied with chat clients out there for Android. Will give the free version a try tough

Some of what I would like to see with IM+ are the following:

1: Push notifications. This was a HUGE reason why I got this program over the other IM programs back on the Blackberry. I work in a large hospital, so my signal gets cut out from time to time. So having the ability of push to my email to stay in communication with my contacts is important. This feature seemed to work amazingly on the BB. I haven't been able to find a program since that compared to the BB version.

2: Re-connecting. I still have yet to find a decent IM program that is better then average in re-establishing connection when it is lost. Kind of similar in nature to my #1, it is important for me to stay in communication with my contacts.

3: Easy on the battery. I would like to the program to be battery smart. Meaning, when it is connected, it doesn't drain the battery. Another reason why I liked this program on the BB. As soon as I signed in on my BB, I automatically chose to have IM+ run in push mode. Less battery drain, and easier to stay in communication via the email push.

Those 3 things I mentioned above kind of go hand in hand with one another, but they are important to me and are things I would like to see with IM+ to make me convert to it on the Android phone.

Thank you,
Whiteice

*EDIT* Maybe not right away, but sometime down the road, I would like to see some kind of creative widget for IM+. I will have to think of things I would like the widget to be capable of, but I have yet to see any good IM program with a widget that caught my attention. Being on the Android, widgets are a big thing for us.

If you have any codes left I would like to give it a try. I've been using the Trillian beta but I keep getting disconnected since the last update and it's very annoying. I'm trying to find a good replacement and beejive just isn't cutting it for me.

So far, IM+ seems to drain a little bit more then the other IM app that I use.

I also noticed that when I got home from the gym, Yahoo was disconnected (but not AOL, MSN, or Facebook.) So I had to manually click to reconnect it as it did not re-connect on it's own.

Still messing around with IM+

Hi Vit_

I was wondering if you all happened to have handed out the free license codes that you mentioned you would be handing out today?

I didn't see any mention of it.

Thanks,

Thank you very much Vit for the code. I really appreciate it.

Where would you like us to post our feedback and suggestions for future IM+ releases?

For example, IM+ seems to drain the battery more then the other IM client I use on my EVO. Battery drainage is a huge issue for everyone, so I would like to provide that feedback as well as future feedback.

Thank you again for the code,
Whiteice

Also,

2 more questions if I amy:

1: I don't see anyplace within the IM+ client I am using currently to enter the code. What is the correct way of using IM+ with the code you provided?

2: With the code you gave us, does this entitle us to upgrades to newer version in the future as they are released? Is this a lifetime code?

Thank you,
Whiteice

Sorry, but we've run out of licenses for this time. Check back this thread, we're gonna make another givaway in Christmas. Meanwhile, maybe you'll try free 3.3 version and tell us about your experience?

Thank you for the code and I will report my findings. I have used IM+ many times before, even been a beta tester, on the BB, Windows Mobile, iPhone and now Android. I also use your RDM+ and love it.

I will update on battery life for my EVO as I can but I don't think it will be good. Not an IM+ problem really but almost everything that stays active on the EVO drains the battery quickly.

I will try not to use my EVO for many other things during this test. I started IM+ with a full charge at 8:45am EST and using two providers (AOL and Yahoo) will see how it goes.

You can post everything right in this thread, I'm working in close collaboration with our devs, so they will hear your wishes. I told them about battery drainage, and they're making optimizations and improvements.

Try this: open settings at contact list screen, choose 'More', and then 'Registration'. And sure, the code is a lifetime.

I went on break and was going to fool with it some and none of my contacts from either AIM or Yahoo show up. I do not see anyone online at all but when I check on a computer some are online.

I can still test it for battery life.

Does IM+ auto reconnect? I just went to use it and all my services were signed off. I dont have the power saver mode checked.

Maybe in a future version when IM+ is in the top status bar instead of just saying "IM+ Pro is running", you could add something about if no accounts are signed on.

I kept seeing the "IM+ Pro is running" thinking that meant I was still signed in so I never checked further. Then when I did look all accounts were signed off.

Hi Vit,

Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately, when I click on settings once I am signed in, I only have 3 options: "General" "Notifications" and "Advanced" None of these have any options within them for "More" or "Registration."

Version 3.3 downloaded from the Android Marketplace.

Sorry, my bad, go to 'More' instead of 'Settings' (I just called this whole pop-up menu 'settings').

Any workaround or things to try for the contacts not showing up until a fix is out? I am pretty much at a standstill as none of my AIM or Yahoo contacts that are online show.

I am also having the same issue aswhiteicedmstech with entering the code. There is no option call 'more' when I click on the menu.

On the free, I noticed that offline messages have the time stamp of when you logged in and NOT when the person sent you the message. This gets confusing in deciding if the person just message you or if it was an offline message. I find that the app lags a bit compare to IMO and MSN Messanger app.

Go here and click "download" not the "download free".

IM+: Instant Messaging for Android OS :: Android :: Products

Then find it on your phone with a file manager and run it. The first time you start it it will ask you to register and enter your code.

Atleast this is what I did and it worked.

Been trying this for a few days and my initial impression is favorable. I have stayed connected much longer than with other IM clients. I have a few features I would like to see such as themes (I prefer dark backgrounds), change the notification sound for this app, and sorting of contacts by status (available, away, offline).

I thank you for letting me try this product and will report more thoughts later.

IM+ has auto reconnect, but we have yet to improve it. I added "IM+ Pro is running" misconception to be fixed to wishes for future versions.

It seems odd, is it still an issue when you sign out and sign in back manually? Or they disappearing after some period of time?
You can additionally send a support request from About, and our support will try to look closer into it.

Could you please post here a pic with the menu? I'm sure the Pro-version downloaded from www.shapeservices.com should have this option, however the one downloaded from Android Market doesn't have it.

Wrong time stamp is confusing, I have informed the developers.

Added to wishlist. We're glad IM+ working fine on your device. Always welcome to share your further thoughts here.

I will send the support request. What is happening is none of my contacts from either AIM or Yahoo show as being online. I sign in and out and even uninstalled and reinstalled.

The only way I can get anyone to show up as online is to try to send them an IM. Then they show as being online.

Yahoo, Gtalk, and MSN

I've chatted with folks on all services and it seems to be working fine for me.

I wonder if the OS or phone could have anything to do with it?

I have the EVO and OS 2.2 and uninstalled 2x, deleted accounts 3-4x and still do not see my online contacts. When they do appear, they vanish later and appear offline.

I sent in a support request last night and will see what happens.

Hey there guys,

As I promised, IM+/IM+ Pro 3.4 is out now!
And here is what it brings to us:

  • Performance boost
  • UI and usability improvements
  • Optimization for Android tablets
  • Returned pop-up alerts about new messages
  • Active chats close up through long-press menu
  • Many bugfixes

Who's already got it, please feel free to update it, and who's not yet - you can grab the free IM+ or buy IM+ Pro version at our website

or you can also visit www.shapeservices.com or Android Market from your smartphone or tablet and download the app over-the-air.

Thanks guys, hope you will enjoy this version,

I have this problem with my msn client on my phone that it doesn't show the messages which were sent me while I was offline. Does this do that?
What about the file sending and receiving? I do little business on this and sometimes I need files to be sent and received via msn.
What about push notifications?
And how is it doing with special characters? Sometimes I can't see ç, ş, ğ etc.
And I wonder if it has Turkish language support? If not, I could translate it for you, if you want me to.

And if you have any, I could use a free licence key

IM+/IM+ Pro shows MSN offline messages, you can give it a try.
Sending/receiving files will be added in the next versions, can't say estimated time of arrival.
Push notificatios arrive in 1-2 months.
We're using Unicode, so IM+/IM+ Pro supports all languages for chatting in all networks, except ICQ.
Currently we're doing UI localizations to major European languages and I would be glad to discuss your help in private messages.
