Confused ROM Toolbox Pro and ROM Manager Question

Hi all,
I've noticed in some posts that people say that ROM Toolbox is the toolbox for Liberty ROM users. However, there is no mention of the app in the market requiring you to be running Liberty ROM, as a matter of fact there isn't even a mention of Liberty ROM at all (other than the picture and a tag (which is meaningless since it is just naming ROM names)). So I'm still not to clear exactly what the deal is with this app, though it does seem to be more suited to my needs then ROM Manager, which brings me to my next question. I've seen some posts mention that ROM Manager is bad and one quote that stood out it my head was "another one bites the dust with ROM Manager..." which deterred me from it for the longest time! However, some people swear by ROM Manager. Can anyone clarify these two things for me?

Thanks!

Was that post in the desire forum? That post rings a bell. We have seen issues specifically on the desire. Mainly due to the fake flash use of recovery. I couldn't say for other devices though

I don't own a desire, so definitely not! I looked in posts discussing it but like I said the actual answer I'm looking for is still a bit up in the air...just looking for a definitive answer. But nope, no post in the desire forum.

Hey - I just noticed ROM Toolkit in the market today by accident. Downloaded it and looked around, but I already use ROM Manager with no problems. Toolkit looks to be more encompassing of features, which makes it a bit more enticing since everything is in one app.

Are there any conflicts with using both on the same device?

If you make a nand b/u with both, would they essentially be the same (if done back to back)?

BTW - I'm using a dinc w/ CM7.0

ROM Toolbox was once called Liberty Toolbox. It was developed by one of the Liberty devs. He recently (within the last few months) redesigned it and with the update - changed the name and advised that it could be used for almost any ROM going forward. Hope this clears things up.

I actually use both. I've had ROM Manager longer so probably use it for flashing/backing up/restoring out of habit. I currently use ROM Toolbox solely for GUI customizations (battery icons/animations/boot logos.) I unfortunately can't speak to how well or how buggy it is at doing other functions. I do see that includes a function that could replace Titanium Backup even. Never tried it (because I already have Titanium). I will say I wish I realized how many featurs ROM Toolbox had before I purchased the other two. If it works, it could well replace both Titanium and ROM Manager, plus do other things (app manager, gui customizations, performance tweaks, ad blocker, etc.)

I use both on a Droid X. No conflicts that I see. If I rememebr correctly I once used ROM Toolbox to make a backup. It used the default name for the backup (rather than the name I chose for it). I believe it actually used the same folder as ROM Manager (within the Clockworck Mod) folder. I've since deleted it so I can't verify, but if memory serves me, that's where it put the backup.
