Default Resolving names in E-Mail clients from contacts

is there a function that enables an E-Mail client to resolve the name of the person that sent you the mail?

If I get an SMS from a certain number and that number belongs to someone in my address book, the name is shown instead of the number. However, if I get an e-mail from feso34fififififef(at)googlemail.com, this address is shown even if it's associated with a real (and much more readable) name in my contacts.

I'm wondering about that not only on Android, but on other OS as well actually.. does anybody know any app or plugin that could do that?

I really appreciate your help!
