I use Swype... And I'm content.. But it feels like there is always way too many options that are close to my words, and it's never my word! Frustrating.

FlexT9 has become my favorite. Swype just has too many goofy features for my tastes. I've used slideit and even preferred that to swype. I like gesture keyboards that also work well when you want to type. Of the bunch, FlexT has been the best for me at least.
For the longest time I was using Swype, but then got tired of it forever being in beta (meaning I can't just update/download via the market), and I switched to Swiftkey X.
Now that ICS has the newer voice input, I'm using the OEM keyboard, but I'll switch back to Swiftkey as soon as (if), they implement this feature.

I was at first, but then I said, I'll use Swype for three weeks no matter how annoyed I get, and see after that. Well, needless to say I never went away anymore. LOL. Its about getting used to it and giving it time.

I kept putting off trying swyping keyboards until I could no longer take the default keyboard (worst keyboard I've ever used). I thought swyping would be stupid but boy was I wrong. I picked it up within a few minutes. I found it to be very intuitive.
I might actually be able to type faster now than with a hardware keyboard. Whereas I dreaded having to type anything with the default keyboard.
