I use the ICS one. I have SwiftKey X, and it's pretty good, too. But ICS keyboard works for both my tab and my phone, and I like consistancy.

I decided to try SwiftKey X 'cause it was one of the $0.10 for 10 days apps. So far I like it, but I think I'm gonna go back to Swype eventually.

Moved over here to the Applications forum, I think it will see a lot more traffic (thanks, karandpr ).

Added some other options - wish I could have a changed it to a multi-choice poll, but once made, I can't.

Oh, well - vote for the one you use most.

+1....I've tried Swype, SlideIT & SwiftKey. Switched to AI Type about a month ago and have never looked back. Has the best auto-correction of the bunch, which is very important for the way I type.

Swiftkey X, ics, and slide it. Occasionally ill try out go and touchpal to see if anything's new. I've been known to have 5+ keyboards installed at the same time. I like keyboards

I use thumb keyboard. Nice keyboard. No longer are my messages.plagued.with this type of.occurrence. A little bit bigger so you can hit buttons easier. Think it would be ideal on a 4.5" and bigger screen. I still have mis-presses. But if i slow it down and go smooth and steady there are next to no issues.

Swiftkey X for me. I've tried Swype, SlideIt, stock Android and stock HTC extensively but I type faster and more accurately on Swiftkey.

I'm quite satisfied with Swype on my SGS. I like being able to switch to single character input (when needed) as I'm writing. Swype is quite fast and it works well for me.

Keypurr is the fastest keyboard I've ever used, it's Blackberry Pearl style layout is so easy to type on (and I've used stock, swiftkey, swype and 8pen)

I have tried several of them. Swype is great most of the time but it's frustrating when I type something it doesn't expect like a technical term. SwiftKey X, SlideIT, etc. all have similar quirks. The gingerbread keyboard seems like the only one that is unobtrusive and easy to type on.

However since i have a Droid 2 Global - more than half of my typing is done on the physical keyboard.

Default Multilanguage support

From those that I have tried so far, Swiftkey X is the only one that allows me to have more than one language active at the same time. It is ridiculous how other multilanguage keyboards expects bilingal users to be switching keyboard languages when chatting with people in two different lanuages at the same time. For monolingual users this is a non-issue, though.

Touchpal. It's a breeze to type on or swipe.

As for Swiftkey, it would be much better if it supported swiping. Until then, it can never match the typing speed of keyboards like Swype, SlideIt, and Touchpal.

I used Smart Keyboard Pro for a long time because of the gestures and skinning ability over swiftkey X. Swype I generally use only for one handed operation (standing on subways/trains) Didn't like Slideit at all because of the horrendous word prediction...but as of right now I've been using theICS keyboard and it's amazingly good. You can pretty much hammer away at words and it'll fix them perfect everytime. It's one of the best stock keyboards I've ever used.

Forced to use Swype.

the ICS keyboard doesn't work well for me and SlideIT is just some crappy app created so the dev can make a quick buck.

Go keyboard does swiping stuff too, I've only recently began trying it out, so I don't know how it compares to actual swype or some of the others, kinda handy for one handed texting.

I've been a go keyboard evangelist for a while now, cause minus the swiping, before I tried swiping out I love how good it's predictions are (type "lruvistf" you get "keyboard") and how it has some editing keys, arrow keys, tab and stuff on an editing keyboard panel for when I don't feel like firing up hacker's keyboard. Can't believe there's only 3 of us go kbd users here.

A neat note on arrow keys: If you need them every once in a while and like plain keyboards, the market gingerbread keyboard (not the google gb keyboard that may have came with your phone) you can longpress space then drag-up some arrow keys. (longpress space and drag down to get rid of)

yeah i used go keyboard i like it alot but i switched from it to smart keyboard it doesnt have swype but my phone screen is 3.5 inch so it can be a little hard to text sometimes with smalls keys but with smart keyboard i can extend my keys to an unbelieveable size so i like it alot the only thing that sucks is how theres not many themes for it

Swype for me. Ever since I first used it, I've found it indispensable, and others just don't quite compare. I'm using the modified apk from the friendly Devs at XDA to play nice with the Galaxy Nexus/ICS.

I started using the default keyboard, then I turned on Swype kb, so I guess I'm using Swype now. I also use the physical kb if typing alot.

I use Swype when I have to type, but with the excellent voice recognition of Android, why bother typing? Why not just dictate unless you're in a meeting or a really noisy place?

(longpress space and drag down to get rid of)
I use most of the GO apps, and I tried the keyboard myself but, I would asssume due to the size of my phone screen, getting the space key tap to register is such a pain in the behind that I came back running to Perfect Keyboard.

I used to use Go Keyboard exclusively, until I learned to Swype. Then I switched. When GO got swiping features, I tried it out, but found it difficult to teach it new words compared to Swype, which I have managed to teach an entirely new language not included in the supported packs. Has things gotten better? And the issue of the punctuation marks not available for long press.
