Default Compatibility issues

Hi,
Iím new to android and have a query which I think might be quite a common question. If anybody could help I would appreciate it. I bought my kids a pc tablet each for Christmas which is basically a large iphone without the calling capacity (see spec below). It runs Android 2.3. Whilst some apps download OK a couple of the more essential ones refuse to; these have included Skype, Flash11 (so the kids can play the likes of moshi monsters, club penguin etc) and straight app games such as angry birds. The apps wonít download and I receive a message which reads that my system is not compatible. Is there a way I can get around this? Any responses will be gratefully appreciated.

If you could tell us the actual make and model of the tablet, that would help a lot more than the specs.

That looks to be a UK tablet, are you over there in Europe? I'm not sure, but maybe that's the problem. Not all apps are available to people outside the US.
