Android App GPS functionality on Blackberry

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know the specifics of how the blackberry emulator will work with Android applications with respect to location based code? I'm interested in creating an app that will require the "checking" of the user's current location in the background every 5 minutes or so (preferably only while they are in motion... to preserve battery)... but I was wondering if the BlackBerry emulator would support this background location updating.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
