I signed up for Google Voice a while back just to see what it did. In the process, I obtained a Google Voice number that I never used. Now I have a droid, and want to use the Voice app to take care of my texting and voicemail. However, when I send a text, it is viewed as coming from my GV number. I want it to still appear as from my actual phone number. Is this possible?

Yes, if you send it from your default messaging app, the person receiving the text will see your cell phone number. If you send it from the Google Voice app, the person receiving the text will see your Google Voice number.
