First of all, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong area. I saw similar threads but none of them were having the problem that I was.

For the first couple of weeks I've had Yahoo Mail App installed (and fully updated, set to auto update) and working as intended.

The option to send me notification has been turned on, has always been turned on and I never turned it off. It's STILL turned on right now but I have stopped receiving notification sounds entirely. It's only done it once but for the 20+ other emails I've received don't notify me until I open the App on my phone, at which point it destroys the point.

I really need and want my notification sound back. I've uninstalled, reinstalled and rebooted my phone. Does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it? I do NOT want to switch emails. If there's no way to fix this then I'll just deal with it despite how much I don't want to.

I'm using the newest Droid RAZR with Verizon.

I am having the same problem with Yahoo and Gmail. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Yahoo app and the notifications worked for a while. Since this is an android, I cannot delete and redefine the Gmail account.

Try turning the phone off and on again. Something this helps kill any processes that got stuck.
