Default Automateit

Is it possible to kill apps with Automateit? I don't see it in the drop-down menu for Actions.

This action is only available for rooted devices. It's called "Kill Application Action".

Default Cell ID triggers

I wanted to create a new custom location with 3 cell phone towers, and for the cell towers I have saved it lists the MCC, SID, NID, and BSSID. However, to add new towers it asks for the MCC, MNC, LAC, and CID. Is this is a mistake? I am supposed to enter the same tower information?

Think I figured it out. The settings are designed for GSM phones, but since I have a CDMA phone it doesn't display the right settings. I used the same numbers displayed in the fields that seemed to correlate based on their locations and it seems to work fine.

It seems that with Automateit (unlike Tasker) off states need to be set for each task, eg Wifi on and off. Is it possible to have conflicting rules, so that eg I want Wifi turned on at home but after 2200 I want the Wifi turned off?
Will the newer profile take precedence or should I re-write all my profiles to include time + location?

AutomateIt is an event-driven app so there is no "precedence" of one rule over another. As soon as the trigger of the rule is activated, it will launch the rule.

In your case, It's possible to have two rules:
  1. turn on wifi at home
  2. turn off wifi at 2200

The one case you need to think about is what is your preference in case you arrive home after 2200. With this two rules, your wifi will be activated.
If you want to avoid it, you have two options:
  1. Create another rule that disables rule #1 at 2200 and another rule to enable it sometime in the morning
  2. Use the pro version and set an active time period for your rules so that rule #1 will only be available in defined hours

Follow the next link for the Pro version user guide:

Thanks for the clear explanation. I will buy Automateit Pro. Too bad I didn't know about this earlier, I bought Tasker for around $6 but prefer Automateit and at $1.50 it is a steal.

Default Vibrate vs. Normal

I am having some difficulty getting my vibrate vs. normal settings to work. There are several locations where I want the phone to go to vibrate. I took 9 cell phone towers from 3 locations and created a profile to turn the phone to vibrate. I then make another profile with the 9 towers but left the box unchecked, and set it to turn the phone to Normal. Yet the phone doesn't get turned to normal. Have I set it up wrong?

Am using Automateit Pro.
