Footmouth Android Question - Ignoring App completely

Is there an app on the app store that lets you ignore an app completely? I'm not talking about task killers, I'm talking about an app that doesn't let another certain app launch when clicked on. and if there is no app for that, how can I corrupt it and so it doesn't work properly? I would tell you why but this is extremely laggy right now.

Titanium Backup can freeze apps. Then the don't even show in your menus/screens. It's like deleting them without deleting them.

You can't freeze an app if you aren't rooted. Basically what you're asking seems to be not possible if not rooted.
