Default Scroll Essential Tab - cant download aps

i wanted to download the springfair ap today, but yet again, it says "there is no mobile number associated with this device" and it wont let me download the ap. can someone help explain how when you only have a an android tablet, not a phone, you are supposed to download applications to use ??

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.geniemobile.app607255

so far as i can see its all a bit useless to have something with the capability of using the aps but no way of downloading them thank you

I just checked for the app on my wifi-only tablet (with no phone number associated), and it is available for download. It is probably just not compatible with your device, and the Market is returning the wrong error message.

Did you install the market on the device manually, or was it there to begin with? Are you having to use the market website to try and download apps?

You generally get that message when trying to install an app on a device that doesn't/shouldn't have the market installed. It's a common issue on a lot of the Chinese tablets and is explained quite well here.

I've ha a look around and it doesn't appear as though there's a way of forcing the market on there unfortunately, sorry.
