Default Dropbox Beta For Android v2.0.9 With Automatic Uploads, Get Up To 5GB Of Extra Storage

OK, I just came across the new Dropbox Beta news and haven't seen this posted anywhere (merge if there's already one)

The guys behind the official Dropbox Android app have an enticing present for everyone to check out. They just released an experimental beta v2.0.9 that includes a brand new automatic Camera Upload feature. There are definitely third party apps out there that offer this same service, but it's nice to see the official version updating with some fresh new features.
Here's what you'll find:

The app can now automatically upload photos and videos in the background using Wi-Fi or your data plan.
No more size limit. So upload to your hearts content.
If there are network issues, the upload will resume when those issues are resolved.

Some performance improvements and bug fixes.
You'll also get 500MB of free space on your first automatic photo upload.
If you allow automatic uploads via your data plan, there is a setting to limit the file size to 25MB (files over this limit will wait for Wi-Fi) or set it to unlimited.

Unfortunately, there's currently no way to add and configure multiple sources and destinations like you can with DropSync, so there is definitely still some room for improvement.
But wait, that's not all! During the beta period you can rack up some more free storage. The first sync gives you an instant 500MB bump, and for every 500MB of photos and videos you upload automatically, you'll receive an additional 500MB of free storage, up to 4.5 more gigabytes. That's 5GB just to help test out the new Dropbox, all for free.
I should also mention that this free space isn't separate from any free space you may have earned from the desktop client beta they announced yesterday.

What are you waiting for? Click or scan the QR code below to grab the experimental release APK. Who knows how long the beta will last...
I found this trick in another blog that shows HOW TO GET YOUR 5GB FAST

Get Additional 5GB Space In Dropbox Right Now

For those who want to get additional free space in their Dropbox account right now, here’s a cool trick. Folks at Caschys Blog found out a way to increase Dropbox’s storage capacity by 4.5GB in a few minutes. An image that is actually around 4.3GB in size is compressed to 21KB RAR file. You need to download this 21KB RAR file from here. Next, you have to extract the RAR file and copy the extracted image to your Camera storage card.

Now plug your Camera into your PC and let Dropbox scan for the photos. Make sure the ‘Photo Import’ feature is enabled when you connect the Camera. Once Dropbox completes the scan, it will first index the image and then automatically start the uploading process. If it doesn’t start uploading automatically, unplug and reconnect the storage device and select ‘Import Pictures & Videos using Dropbox’ option in the Autoplay window that appears on the desktop screen.

You don’t have to fully upload the image. You just need to wait for a few minutes to the get the image indexed by Dropbox. Just cancel the uploading process when the image gets fully indexed. Voila !! Now check your storage space. It must be increased by 4.5 GB. Now you can delete the image file from your Dropbox storage.

The storage capacity in my Dropbox account has been increased from 2 GB to 6.5 GB. It took me 4 minutes to get additional 4.5 GB of free storage space using the trick. At the moment of writing this post, the above trick is 100% working. You have got to try this trick. If you are facing any problem, feel free to ask here by commenting below. Don’t forget to share this post with your friends and family. You can download the latest beta release for your preferred operating system from the links below:
I haven't tried this but This looks very promising
