Default Go SMS Pro Private Message

If I receive a message from contact in my private box then I can reply and thread can continue. If deleting all messages then Private box has "No private messages" displayed. How can I then send a private message without having to go back to main messages box?
There is a work round which doesn't seem necessary.
That is to lock one private message to private contact, delete all but don't tick the delete locked messages box. Thread remains and you can send private message to that contact.

Thanks in advance from a newbie!

Hi NJ!

Unless I've misunderstood your post and how the app works (tell me if I have), the private message box is just for your phone... as in the messages will be private and not accessable to anyone else.

The other person may not even have a private message box... the thread is only private on your phone. If you send a message to a contact, then I would imagine that you would have to move the reply to the private message box.

Hope that's been some help - let me know if I've not explained myself clearly

Cheers,
D

Thanks D.
The whole thread appears in the private box. Any replies I receive from my private contact goes straight into the private message box. When I reply to a message from that contact I can but when I delete the whole thread I have to go back to the main message box to send a message and starting a new thread.
It is just a niggle really as I would have thought if the contact was in the private list you should be able to send a message to them from the private message box.
Notice there are a fair number of views on this so assume others have the same problem!

I understand your frustration... you would have thought that you could set contacts to ge automatically to the private message box

I think that it is a message/message thread that are private, not the person though

Contacts can be set to private no problem at all. If they send you the first message then again no problem, message goes to private box. It is just when I want to start a thread have to send it from the main message box. As I said it is just a niggle which hopefully the developers will rectify. Serves me right I suppose for wanting to have some contacts as private!

Ahh.... I see!!

You may want to message the Go Dev team... they should be able to provide a fix - could be an update to the app!!
