I use an online betting company, and they have an Android app, that is sent via SMS in the form of an installable APK.

You don't have to choose the model of your phone, just Android, Apple or Blackberry, so given that, can anyone foresee any problems in putting the same APK on a non 3g tab?

Other than the graphics potentially being ugly due to poor scaling, you might run into a little issue if the app needs to validate and has been written to look for mobile data. I don't see where it could hurt your tab to give it a try. It will either work, or it won't.
