Default Cancel automatic Device Back-UP

Hi All,

I originally just had an Android phone, and the ease of swapping to a new phone was great, BUT now i have a tab, and all the same apps on the phone have been downloaded to the tab, but some of these apps have a different version for the tab, but the phone version has been automatically downloaded instead.

How do i stop this automatic back-up?
I'm rooted and have Titanium Back-up pro on booth devices anyway?

If I understand your question, you can disallow automatic updating of apps in Android Market under their "settings" selection when you hit menu once in the Market app.

Once that's done, just remove the apps that have the issue, then install each one on the device specific to your concern.

No, it's not about updating apps themselves.
When you first get the device (or do a factory reset) you are asked if you want the device backed up to the web. Therefore when you get a new device (or do a factory reset) all those apps that are linked to your registered Gmail address will automatically start installing themselves to your new device.

If you had ten different Android devices they would all get those same apps installed automatically when you open the market for the first time. (As long as you use the same email address)

When we all only had phones this was a pretty cool idea, but now it's not so great if you also have a tab!
