I can't seem to get the Icon for Back-up Assistant to not be in my notification/icon bar, ever since I hit back up now, it says it backed up everything just fine when i actually open the app, but the icon is still in the notification bar, and when i pull it down, it still says "Connecting to Server". I tried force-stopping it and closing it with the Task Manager, but that didn't help.

Any Suggestions ?

I am using an LG Revolution in case that matters.

Have you tried a restart of the device and/or battery pull?

Also, you can turn on/off sync of Back Up Assistant in Settings->Accounts & sync.
