An apk is just a renamed .zip file. Change the file extension to .zip, then open it and change whatever you want. HOWEVER... apk files are unique in that they are also signed. Unless you have a way of resigning the file, it will not load after renaming it back to .apk. Bear in mind that even if you are successful, you will never be able to do an online update, since the signatures will not agree. Every time there is an update to the app, you will have to go through the same process. GL!
