Tether app (beta)
Android Beta Test | Tether
Yeah, another app made its way out. Like Swype, it's a beta that you need to sign up for. After EasyTether also went the way of paying for HTTPS, here's something to replace that.

Has it been stable for you Smacky? I was willing to pay $10 for the EasyTether but no way $30 on PDA Net.

Registered, waiting on the invite.
BlackBerry users may be able to chime in as this thing was originally out for BBOS. It's a pretty respected app from what I've gathered.

Do you know if this one works with Windows XP x64? PDA Net does not. EasyTether doesn't by default, but there is a tweak I have not gotten around to trying yet.

I tryed it last night using windows 7 64 bit and the leaked 2.1. The app kept crashing on the phone just like the browser does in 2.1 (no forced closed msg.) Might work better on 1.5 for the eris.
Edit: I was able to load 1 page at a time before it crashes out on me. Speed seemed about the same as easy tether and PDAnet.

For future reference: threads about Android Applications go in the
Android Applications forum, not the HTC Droid Eris forum! I have moved it there.
